Got this code today and rho had a dead battery. Jumped it, check engine light came on with this code logged by jb4

Note: jb4 tuner installed last week. Gonna have it removed and see what happens. Then to dealership i guess.

Man these electrical gremlins suck! I have noticed since putting in a NOCO 5x2 charger in my engine bay and keeping my battery topped off I have had less and less of them. Thats not to say I wont get a CEL light tomorrow. 🤞

its ridiculous to pay $80k+ for a truck then have to buy a $150 charger to install in the engine bay and keep your truck plugged in when not in use just so the fucker will run WTF RAM. Im sure a software update in the near future should remedy all these battery drain issues. I do not want to have to do this when my truck finally shows up. Sorry you had to do that LOL.

100%. I have had 0 issues with my 2024 Ram 3500 Laramie with the HO.

I'm sorry you guys are having so many issues with your trucks...

It's so odd that some have multiple electrical issues on top of one another, but others have none.

It's almost like a bad batch of wiring harnesses made it into certain vehicles.

I feel really bad for the ones that get their truck shut down. My gremlins have only been small issues like blind spot monitors coming on for no reason, HUD not showing up, heated seats not working, heated steering wheel low heat and an overnight draw on my battery. All working well now as long as my battery stays charged.

I feel terrible and guilty because I haven't had any of these issues.

i had no issues prior to the JB4 install last week. So first thing i'm doing is having it removed and the code cleared. Then we will see if the check engine light comes back

No shit. Are these trucks some of the early deliveries?

P068A means the ECU lost power. His truck had a dead battery. The ECU slolwy losing voltage would be able to register a supply voltage loss because it has internal capacitors & store it in the EEPROM (Non Volatile Memory - NVM)

There is nothing wrong with his truck - his battery died.

Why his battery died? - may be related to his aftermarket components or he left a light on.

I would not take it to the dealer - I would just drive it.

I'm having the JB4 removed. Not taking any chances. Had no issues for 3 months, had the JB4 installed and 3 days later, i come out from work, my battery is dead, i charged it, checked the code and it was the P068A. Not sure why the battery was dead, or why if anything would of been left on. I do know that i've never had an issue before the JB4. Now it could have absolutely nothing to do with, but i don't like to take chances...plus removing it if and when i have to go to a dealership because this happens again, kinda a pain. Def was a spur of the moment purchase, but not worth it until i see how the truck continues to run or if i need a new battery. I'll put a few more thousand miles on it, allow others to add the JB4 and see how that goes, and maybe i'll try again one day...just don't need the headache at the moment.

If it drives okay without poor performance or ruff running I would do that first. While the JB4 should not record any excessive boost it very possibly will have suspicious looking trim values stored. If you can drive them out I would. However do not do it if it is not running fine. If it runs bad bite the bullet and have it towed in

We are ALL (some of us sooner than others) having uconnect issues and I'd imagine several gremlins are related to that. Hoping I'm correct because then they can be fixed within update that RAM seems to be slow rolling...sloth-like slow.

No one is immune from the gremlins though. Wire harness issues should be rare and likely not cause for majority of us. My uconnect must have been last for dodgeball because it sometimes just stands there and won't move. Other times 1-5 sec delay between screens. Rarely knows what station I'm on or shows incorrect song. Took me a minute to figure out why I was listening to Taylor Swift on Turbo

I had a stuck starter relay code on my drive home with the RHO, a new Aux battery later, it was gone

Just read that in your other thread, definitely keep us posted please. Hoping it was a fluke. Good luck!

Batteries were cause of most my issues as well. Once fixed no more codes
Yep, zero gremlins here but I have been traveling a lot and keep the main battery on my NOCO the whole time I am gone so she always has a fresh charge.

I keep the battery tender cables attached always so it's just a simple plug in when I leave

Got that code when I first installed the DiabloSport. I cleared it and knock on wood, it hasn’t come back.

Chris

According to DiabloSport that error occurs often when you disconnect the battery(which you have to do installing this). It usually takes a few drive cycles to clear it but with the app I have, I was able to clear the code and didnt wait.
