Got an email that my truck requires service. I don't even have the truck yet as it just got loaded on the hauler from MD today haha.

Did I win a prize?

@AnthonyRI is this normal? Would've had to come up when it was started to be loaded on the carrier.

You won the same prize that I got but yours was at the top of the crackerjack box and mine was more towards the bottom.

Both those popped up on mine, two, three or maybe 4 times now. All times it wasn't wrong. I lost forward collision (pretty sure mine doesn't work ever) and lost cruise control with a mere ~1,200 and about 800 miles left on journey. I cleaned them off at gas stations and occasionally that seemed to work, or I just timed my sensor shower with vehicle figuring itself out.

Consider yourself lucky...Mine has been siting for about a month at a railyard about 2 hours from me with a flat tire. Beware of an auto manufacturer that can't change a tire.

LOTS of jostling around and dust/etc without anyone attempting to clean/wipe off anything while on a carrier. Give us a call when you receive in person. Forum will not be the most expedient way.

Kinda what I figured, just was not sure if this had been seen before. I rarely spend $75k at a time so my sphincter is in a tightened state.

Appreciate it.

Ram technical assistance has told my dealer that a software patch will be coming to fix all the radar/sensor faults. Mine stay quiet for 100+/- miles, then light up repeatedly. A shut down for a few minutes clears them until they decide to act up again. Irritating, but I’ve driven cars for years without these safety features.

I wonder if the NHTSB has been notified of these safety system software defects. Does Ram have a responsibility to report them? Or, do crashes & injuries/deaths need to occur first?

Guessing it might result in a stop sale order and/or recall? IDK.

Have you figured out how to search for update or see if it found one and is downloading it? I connected to home wifi and haven't a clue if it is looking for an update, found one, downloading one or anything. I'd doubt it will download with it off, but again who knows.

I wish it was like Landrover, it tells you there is one, and walks you through the whole process...while not being on home wifi to boot.

I have connected the RHO, but no notices of an anything yet.

Guessing/hoping it works like my BMW and Tesla. If an update is pushed by the manufacturer, a notice is sent to the car & vehicle app. You may or may not be given choices. Download follows.

If I experience this on RHO, I will report.

I think RHO should come with a starter kit.. Jump box and a set of microfiber towels to wipe the sensors lol.
Or at least a ratchet with the e-torx required to remove and swap the batteries. I flew with that because a great guy on the forum here warned me of the issue. Fortunately, I didn't need it but handy info, and those e-torx aren't always available.

I like the starter kit and microfiber towel idea though...brilliant.

First vehicle I've ever purchased where the first "mod" I bought to have waiting was a portable battery jumper.
A battery charger with optimizer should get you there. After I completed mine, my batteries are steady and no longer deviate beyond 14.4-14.6. This was not even close to the case when I first got her though.

Has anyone figured out the battery issues yet? Why aren’t their batteries working? Are they using leftover TRX batteries that have been sitting in a warehouse shelves for years?

any battery charger w/optimizer brands you would recommend?

I've been using this for 5 years regularly without issue and it's been great on AGM, Lithium and Lead Batts.

I don't have much experience with any other brands or models so there might be better newer offerings.

Sounds like it has a feature to avoid overcharge. e.g. if you have a car in storage the trickle charger will turn battery maintainer. Use 24/7 with zero overcharge. Have you - or others - ever used these like this?

Happen to have the size of e-torx and do you need an extension or anything?

Same issues for me! Although, my service department told me all my sensor issues was due to a faulty engine oil sensor. Which is on back order so we will see if that’s really the fix.

Yeah, that's what I originally had bought it for. Trickle charge our offroad suv's optima battery. Used it to fix and get more life out of dead batteries and used it on the RHO for charging both and letting it "optimize".

I don't recall but I'll check in AM
