When I ordered my RHO May 9, I was very excited about receiving this extremely capable sport truck!

Since Tim Kuniskis (father of the hellcat/TRX muscle vehicles) was forced out after 32 years, the Iconic Mopar heritage has been dismantled and brand management is in disarray.

While waiting over the last 5-6 months in "D" status, I have learned much about Carlos Tavares/Stellanis and his anti-american attitude towards CDJR.

At first I thought the numerous press articles and videos were just negative nay-sayers with a beef against CDJR.

But were there smoke there is fire......

Carlos has:

1. Consistently laid off American manufacturing plant labor force
2. Laid off the American Engineering staff, only to farm-out the engineering to Brazil, Morocco, India foreign resources
3. Continuously raised the base price of RAMs/Jeeps to make double digit margins profits, making Truck buying almost unaffordable to many
4. Directed the extinction of the V8 Hemi motors to support his "Green EV narrative"
5. Broke his Union commitment to refurbish the Belvedere Plant
6. Working to move the CDJR headquarters to Netherlands, Mexico, or Canada from Michigan
7. Dropped the value of Stellantis 48%, with Shareholder's filing law suits
8. Mismanaged the 2025 Ram release:
a. Manufactured the wrong mix of 2025 Ram vehicles, without regard to sold orders
b. Left dealerships with 330k '23's and '24's on "lots to rot" with no buyer incentives
c. RHO orders not first ordered, first manufactured but being manufactured without any logical order explanation or communication
d. Plagued with numerous quality control issues, and to add injury to insult, brought in European managers to straighten out American management
9. What else......I am sure I have missed many other points

You may or may not agree, but I feel that Carlos/Stellantis (arrogance) has no respect for the American CDJR brand or customers.

CDJR is a money maker compared to the other brands in the Stellantis portfolio.

Yes, Carlos is leaving with a $39B "Golden Parachute", but will the new replacement European CEO have the needed "American Interest" in mind?

Yesterday, I canceled my RHO order and as far as I am concerned Carlos/Stellantis can "KMA" with their European attitude towards the US.

Best of luck to you all.

Brings to mind Toby Keith.......

Agreed, that dude hates us looks smug as hell too. I'm going to hold because I'd kick my own ass when I see them on the road and I didn't wait. Good luck with what you end up getting.

I find it interesting that history does seem to repeat itself. They have been down this road before with the Daimler/Chrysler disaster. There were many case studies done showing that you better be in alignment from a cultural perspective if you are going to be successful as a multinational company.

We ARE headed into a recession. Anyone who thinks different is delusional. Lots of big companies are struggling right now. If they are not struggling, then they saw this coming & adjusted accordingly over the last 18+ months.

In the news this AM….Intel to layoff 15,000 workers.

What we are seeing at Stellantis is similar to other big companies that must adjust to current realities. Consumers are being pressed by inflation. Lower income is suffering. Middle income is headed to a bad place with $1500 Taylor Swift concert tickets & $7 Starbucks coffee. Upper income is happy with stocks surging & 5% interest rates on their cash…but, they are the minority.

History repeats itself. Recession will bring price corrections & pain. But, the strong will survive.

To be honest, I couldn't care less about the CEO. The trucks are built in Detroit by hard-working Americans. The RHO is priced right and should be a fantastic truck. I ordered May 8 and have been sitting steady in D status. I am not super upset or frustrated yet because NO ONE has a truck. All of the delivery dates are mid to late December. Anything can happen until then. My only concern is that my order is somehow lost and not being seen by RAM. I received my VIN May 10 and my tracker hasn't changed at all.

You canceled your order and came here to let us know … bye

Uh..he may of had Two orders..as he is still here….
;)

I think you will be on the next wave.. it's a good sign that few May orders are getting scheduled.

Is that your opinion or are you being advised? I have two financial advisors, neither of them are indicating this for 2024 or in the foreseeable future 2025. I'm personally not seeing this indicator anywhere within the markets today, several investors including myself are making a fortune this year. Politically, wall street is making assumptions Trump takes the office, God willing, but either way, I still see a strong investment market. Yes, inflation is real and damaging, but a recession isn't imminent from what I'm being advised.

Guys, this thread is a very slippery slope. Keep it to the original topic...don't let politics come into the discussion. If you feel the burning need to discuss politics, do it outside of this forum. Trust me, there's no good that will come from it here.

Well said......

The intentions of my thread was not to be political but to summarize the "arrogance" of Carlos Tavares and his mismanagement of the Iconic American CDJR brand and customers.

All my points were taken from public press releases along with the added inexplicable RHO (April/May) early orders falling into the "black hole D status".
