Hello all!!

Wanted to do some testing with the DiabloSport and was curious how accurate the onboard system is?

It is unfortunately not very accurate. Dragy is definitely the way to go!

Appreciate that! I’ll still give it a whirl. Not ready to drop the dime on that piece yet :)

zero experience with a dragy. just looked it up on amazon. model for $159 sound right? also do you need a dedicated cradle or can you put the module in the cubby behind our screens on the dash?

Onboard is not very accurate. Took the truck to the drag strip and it ran faster than what the onboard was reading.

So…what was your time? Any mods?

Yep that's the one. It comes with a magnetic plate or you can get a suction cup mount on amazon as well. It's GPS based so it needs to have a clear path to the sky to work well. I like to suction cup it to the windshield.

What makes it better than any app on the App Store that uses GPS as well?

It's *supposedly* more accurate since it's a dedicated device. The main reason I use it Is because it's the ONLY widely accepted validated time solution other than a true drag strip timing system.

It was a 1/8th mile and the best run was 8.408. The truck ran consistent all night 8.4s. No mods it's still stock. The onboard was reading 8.6 for the 1/8th so it was slightly off.
