I saw on the TRX forums to get a 8” drop. That seems extreme. On our air suspension 4x4 Longhorn it was 2”.

Any real world input. The hitch I want is expensive and don’t want to buy the wrong one. :)

Have you checked out these:

I'd check with them but 8" might be right. I was trying to find something that works with and not against the suspension system and I think this might be the one. My old weight distribution system wasn't going to work with RHO even kind of, and after trying to sell locally for $500 hit, it just went out to curb for trash collection (hopefully...its heavy AF, so maybe I'll have it another day)

Yes!! That’s the company I was looking at but not ready for a WDH as our boat is only 5k lbs. but if we get a trailer then definitely.

I have found that all towing weights can benefit from WDH. With our suspension, I really don't think towing without a WDH at almost any weight is going to be viable or safe unless somehow adding airbags to help keep from staring at the sky.

I could be wrong, and I'd LOVE to test this, but my brother felt it a great idea to change lanes on a semi while pulling my 3-day old 24' flatbed trailer. If curious how that worked out, I had a 24' hoverboard that didn't fly :ROFLMAO:

I run this guy on my last few trucks - all about the same height rear - including the RHO - havnt towed w/ RHO yet but the rear height measures similar ... and I expect RHO to ride similar to the 2020 Rebel I had (with 1.5 lift in the back) .... and can adjust if needed (when I tow boat which is 4250 plus gear and trailer)
Agree with @Cautionary Tale on WDH always helpful especially in windy areas with taller loads - but not often needed or possible on single or tandem axle boat trailer

Andersen Rapid Hitch

If I had to do again - I go with the greaseless combo … no history with greaseless but whichever ball I have in the down position tends to get rusty with northern salt and ice
(Insert joke here )

That's great info. I should have added that I've not ever towed any kind of watercrafts and couldn't speak on them specifically.

I get the feeling with my phoenix I won't need a drop at all... but every trailer is different!

I was browsing here and if anyone has towed a double Waverunner trailer, I'd love to hear about what you're using, how big of a drop, etc. It will soon be time to put the skis in the water and since I don't have my truck yet, I would like to have my hitch on hand whenever I do get the truck in a month or so. Thanks in advance for any insights.

^^^Is that the 6"?

Looks like on the Anderson website 4" is unavailable.

Thanks for the recommendations everyone, love the forum info & discussion!

I am running the weigh safe 2 inch 6 inch drop I have link of one in this video if your interested. I also ran the Weigh safe true tow Original HD version a few years back which was a WDH and loved it...they do not make anymore.
