Final Inspection

I’ve ran into an issue with my order. Maybe others have had this occur. I ordered Aug 7, then finally scheduled 16 Jan then Production 1-31. Supposed to have shipped on 2-12 but according to the dealer it’s stuck in final inspection. Any reason why one would stay in final inspection for over almost 2 weeks? Thanks

A million reasons. Just have to wait it out, while they get to it and work it out. In rare cases it won't pass and they'll start you over again with new vin. Super rare, so best to just not check in everyday and keep from going crazy.

My order, scheduled and in-prod dates are very nearly the same as yours but my estimated delivery date isn't until the end of April. Yeah, three months to build and deliver. I'm seriously starting to think doing business with a company this scattered is a dumb move.

Tracker showed April 22 as expected ETA but dealer said it was supposed to ship 2-12 then this…

I'm guessing they found a problem with your truck or are resolving something involving many more trucks. If it's either of those, I'd take this as a good sign.

On a semi-related note, did you contact your dealer to get status or were you contacted by them.
Such a difference in projected vs. actual seems odd though we're all told the tracker is next to useless. As I said earlier, my tracker dates are nearly identical to yours but I haven't heard a peep from my dealer.

I made a similar thread, also stuck at final inspection over a month. Can't figure it out. Not sure what takes a month to inspect or fix when a truck build takes days.....

I did contact my dealership. They’re much more up to date than the tracker. Tracker still shows in production.

Mine was in production on the 24th January and is also in inspection for over 3 weeks now. I want the truck now, but if this means that mistakes are been fixed then is a good thing.

Specialists vs laborers working the robots. Finding problems and fixing them can be like whack-a-mole and then involve other specialists. Or it could all just be backlog. Without more information it's all just speculation. There are videos floating around of assembly of TRX and it's amazing how fast but that's just assembling the built parts with assumptions those parts are all perfect and functional, then inspection and if not then....
