Jeez it took forever to get to 500 miles! We didn’t use launch control but did a rolling full throttle and man was that fun!!

Definitely faster than our hemi and maybe it’s a little cheesy but I love the “brrrap” between full throttle shifts he he he. :)

I told myself I was going to wait a few hundred miles and then 40 miles in I was sending it. I admire your patience :)
lol that’s awesome!! It was so stinking hard as I have always had a lead foot. Thankfully the wife was with me most of the time so that helped

Totally agree, the power of this thing is truly impressive. The dig from a rolling start will put a big smile on your face. Once those turbos are able to hit max boost, hold on tight and enjoy! Holding off for a little bit before doing a launch from dead stop.

It’s contagious for sure!! Something that big that moves that well and still very luxurious is an amazing feat of technology. :)

Have you guys pulled the engine cover off yet? It has one 13mm bolt that needs to come off, which I’m sure is to avoid the cover from flying off when jumping the truck.

Man, the turbo to intercooler tubes are LONG! Not like on a “hot V” configuration. It’s surprising the engineers were able to effectively mask the inevitable turbo lag with torque converter slip.

Yes, the HO Hurricane feels playful when you get aggressive with the right pedal. The shift “Brap” is certainly cool. But my wife wanted me to look at another competitor today…a V8 competitor. Guess she’s not totally sold on the I6 feel & sound.

I have not pulled it off yet, I gave it a little tug and it felt too secure compared to every other engine cover I removed. Glad to know before I broke something :)

The Raptor R and now deceased TRX are very cool! But even the guys on the Raptor forum are really impressed with the Ram interior.

Used T is not much different than a new Rhino…but the Raptor are 30k more. That’s a lot of spend for a little juice imo. Keep us in the loop regardless. :)

We already have two V8 muscle cars so we don’t miss it.

You missed the Chevy 2500 ZR2. Two V8 powertrain options. We drove one before settling on RHO, but felt the unladen highway ride was just too rough.

Wife wants me to drive another after owning the RHO, for reference. Frankly, the RHO is a little rough on uneven highways (like the 2500 ZR2). But, RHO is spectacular when the going gets super rough & speeds rise.

I luv a diesel, but have heard lots of negative about modern diesels and DPFs. The V8 Duramax runs like a dream (waaay better than the last Cummins), at least during test drives. It’s also available with 6.6L gas, for cheap money.

IDK, GM quality is pretty bad & the 2500 ZR2 seats are a little firm. But, I’m going to do a critical test drive on one…maybe just to rule it out & luv in my RHO more. I’ll let you know my thoughts after driving another one.

Let us know.

If you have your RHO on auto settings the shocks are a little soft and floaty..on sport they definitely firm up but I don’t feel it’s any more stiff than my E350 with the sport/“AMG” package.

Our Longhorn with air suspension did ride a little nicer but was no where near as capable.
