Interesting, glad you got something resolved. Mine just went away on its own. I took it on our 480 mile road trip and was fine. What is a hard reset? Just disconnect batteries for a while?

Got my truck back last Thursday. Put in like 400 miles and light came on again with the same code for the third time.

Wow, sorry to hear. At this point, maybe it’s a module not communicating with the sensor or wiring. Hope they are able to pinpoint a root cause quickly.

Update: dealer replaced MAF sensor this morning. But while they had it, they noticed a stored code associated with “service shifter” and ended up needing to order the LED module for the gear position LED (P, R, N, etc). They say when the LED is faulty, it throws the service shifter notification.

I did notice a couple days ago that the gear LED was off and then the service shifter notification popped up. Another part ordered..

Dealer never called so MAF sensor didn’t come in. Since the CEL has been off since Saturday and no other issues, going to drive it on our 400 mile trip tomorrow. Will be sure to bring my code reader incase it comes back so I can clear it.

Just really don’t want to drive my wife’s small Audi Q3 with us, our 2 y/o son and our two dogs. It is an S Line so has comfortable seats, but would be tight. Unless there’s an overwhelming opinion that I shouldn’t drive the RHO

It drove just fine on the trip. When I got home, the dealer replaced the sensor and has been fine…

Until.. today. CEL was back. I’m thinking it’s due to the high heat (115 degree heat index today) same as the first CEL, it was about 110.

I think it’s from the truck baking in the sun at these temps (no shade on my driveway) because the CEL comes on less than .5miles from the house. I pulled over, cleared the code and never came back on. I’m guessing because the airflow cooled things down a bit.

To be honest, I’m about at the end of the road with this truck. It’s been at the dealer 5 times and once via a tow truck and still have a pending visit for a service shifter repair. I absolutely love the truck, best vehicle I have owned when it runs but it’s not reliable enough. Purchasing a truck like ours shouldn’t mean I should be worried driving it.

I may see about trading it in for a lightly used TRX or see about ordering a new HC Durango when announced.

I had the p0111 twice at around 600 and 2600 miles. Both times the temperature was over 95 and the truck had been baking in the driveway. Like Webbo, the CEL came on within .5 miles from the house in almost the exact same spot. The truck seemed to be running fine so I cleared the codes. Additionally, they were permanent codes and within a few drive cycles cleared themselves. I am also thinking it is related to the high temperature under the hood.

Just got this code today on quick trip to the store. Not that hot out at like mid 70's. Truck drove just fine, so hooked up my reader and cleared the code for now. Waiting to see if it pops up again before calling the dealer as last time they had my truck for weeks. Lack of quality control on these things for all the electronics.

Update to my original post...
Took mine in today for the same issue, had originally cleared the code then it came back. There is a service bulletine for this issue apparently. Part of the air intake box is poorly installed, the issue for me was the air straightener was improperly installed which caused the code to pop. Took like an hour to have it reinstalled and clear the codes. Just waiting to see if the code pops again.
