I hopped in to take the Minions to school and headed to work this morning, and the odometer was flashing??

...looking it up online now...

Key points about a flashing odometer on a Ram truck:
Module misalignment:
The most likely cause is a misalignment between the Body Control Module (BCM) and other modules in the vehicle, which can happen after certain repairs or software updates.
Need for dealer visit:
To fix the flashing odometer, you'll need to take your truck to a Ram dealership so they can perform a "proximity alignment" using a diagnostic scan tool.
Potential causes:
Other potential causes could include faulty wiring, a battery disconnect, or a recent software update that caused communication issues.

Made a service appointment for 8:00 am tomorrow. Thanks.

The flashing odometer is gone.
I had to make a trip to a different building on campus (I work at a college).
When I started the truck, the odometer was solid.

Do I still need to go to my service appointment?

Had the exact same thing occur with mine. After a few starts it went away and has never come back. I would just leave it alone unless it comes back.

Mine started doing this today after I installed my JB4... Unsure if it's related to the battery disconnect or what. Hopefully it goes away tomorrow.

Yup mine did it last night. Went outta town and flashed all the way back home. Shut the truck off and was gone the next morning.

I would pull the fault codes at the dealer and see if any modules are having communication faults which would result in this behavior.

When it flashes does it continue to add mileage as you drive?

Same thing happened on a 25 Rebel X today, 1400 miles, been like that for a few days so I googled hoping for a simple fix and came up with this:
  • Check that fuses are seated properly. Checked that. Some were not. Did not resolve the issue.
AI suggested:
  • Other solutions:
Some forums suggest trying to reboot the car by disconnecting the battery, but this might not always resolve the issue.
That fixed it in my case. Disconnected main and aux to reboot everything. I don't know what threw it off. Was cool to find out that the vehicle setting were retained in memory.

Keep us posted on this one please as a lot of us will probably be curious if this was JB4 related

Hopefully it clears soon

This happened to me today. Shut the truck off and back on then it stopped flashing. Continued on with my errands around town and all was fine.
