They work as a step but provide no real protection, other than as sacrificial part. If I slid on them, I'd definitely be visiting a body shop after for a rats nest of problems. I'll take mine off for wrap and get some complete pictures of what they look like. They have a large surface area at bottom but can't support weight of vehicle like proper slider. Might prevent some rocker damage in light duty situations though.

My wife needs the powered steps to get into my old Limited, so it was a no brainer for the higher RHO.
