Has anyone had issues connecting an iPhone 16 to the hdmi port? I got a usbc to hdmi cable from Amazon but I get nothing on the passenger screen. Any tips?

Have you tried using that same phone/cord setup to project to another device (like a TV)?

Yes I had the same issue. Make sure your IOS is up to date & that your screen mirroring is enabled. Hope that helps!

No issues with my 16pro usb-c to hdmi

Maybe it’s my cable. It doesn’t allow me to screen mirror.

Mine hasn’t worked either. I figured it was a user error on my side. I can mirror my phone with my tv but I’ve only tried and HDMI adapter from amazon to try on the truck that’s all I have at the moment. I was going to buy a new cable and not get an adapter style and just get a cable style one to see if that was why.

So I’ve been looking at HDMI to lightning cables to use on the passenger screen. Almost all of them said they do not support streaming of Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc. Anyone find anything that works ? Was considering also setting up a firestick. Saw someone did on another post but cannot find the post again.

First, time to upgrade your iPhone lol. The fire stick works great and you can also set it up so audio goes out the truck speakers or Bluetooth headphones.

😆 I just upgraded my iPhone. I’d like to go the fire stick route. Are you using the truck’s WiFi or internet from your phone to source the fire stick? Anything else need other than the fire stick itself?

I use my phone as a hotspot

So I couldn’t get an hdmi cable to work from my iPhone 16, but a fire stick works great and I just run the usb to the little usb charger on the dash instead of running the cord down the center console.

Does the sound come over the speakers?

Definitely setting this up as soon as I get mine. What a cool getaway if you need a 30 min break from the wife and kids lol go to the garage...grab a beer and hop in the passenger seat turn on the massaging seats and watch a game 🤣

By default no. If you use hdmi usb c to iPhone you can send it over to the speakers vs Bluetooth headphones. I decided it was easiest to just use a fire tv. You select Bluetooth devices in settings of the fire tv and add the truck and a pair of headphones. This way you can pick which one you want to use. This is how I set mine up for a cleaner install.

But is there the BT delay issue between on screen vs audio?

No delay’s I can notice between the truck and headphones

I couldn't get sound from the speakers. I'm going to assume it's bluetooth only for sound on the passenger screen

Bluetooth headphones, or connect iPhone, fire tv, Apple TV etc to the truck via Bluetooth if you want the sound from the truck speakers
