I've been pretty much issue free, so I am certainly not complaining. But I have noticed that the steering wheel only gets slightly warm even on the third heat setting. Anyone else having the same issue?

I agree; it does not get as warm as the steering wheel in my wife's '23 Expedition Limited.

BUT...

It's also beefier/thicker than the Expedition wheel...

And others complained that it gets scorching hot 😄

The seat warmers get hot enough to effect a man's ability to reproduce....

But the wheel is warm, but not hot (for me.)

I noticed this weekend that mine started out hot, then went to just warm after it was on for about 10 minutes. Have not noticed that before.

I agree. The wheel certainly gets warm on the high setting, but not to the same proportion as the seats do on high. Seats on high are actually too hot after about 10 minutes, even in Ohio winter temperatures. The wheel on high is warm, but feels like what I would expect a low or medium to feel like.

I must have some soft ass hands. I always have to turn mine down to 1 or off after a few minutes.

Mine gets pretty damn hot. It's as hot as my 2020 limited was and I'm glad I can turn it down.

I'm in the camp of too hot. At 3 my palms are so sweaty I start feeling like I'm trying out to be some kind of professional that uses hands and requires lots of lubrication. Whatever kind of job that may be :ROFLMAO:

So I'm starting to suspect based on the responses to this thread that there is a large variation in how hot the steering wheels are actually getting. I'm wondering if some of the higher settings aren't getting wired correctly. My heated steering wheel doesn't get hot enough that somebody would find it too hot or anywhere near that.

Im in the camp of Banger and Cautionary - level 3 is nice for a few min but then gets too hot - and I drop it down to level 2 or 1. My rebel was also hot and only had on/off. The manual references some RAM trim levels with only 1 setting (on/off) but have to believe all RHO's have 3 levels. Manual also states if the wheel is already warm the heated wheel may not come on (love the ambiguity or lack of specifics)
I was curious to read if the driver memory settings had any control over the wheel heat - but doesn't look like the 2 systems are connected.

I have found in other Jeep Ram vehicles that outside temp plays a factor on how hot the steering wheel gets. Might want to do a poll on the people who say it is barely warm and those who say it gets way too hot on outside temps in their area at the time.

I'm in the SoCal High Desert.

Our coldest winter temperatures are around 20 to 25 degrees, with infrequent occasions down to the 15 to 20-degree range.

The SW is warm, but never "hot".

Another thing I paid attention to today is the actual time in contact with the heated surface. My ass is always in the seat, so it tends to feel hot quick. My hands move around a lot on the steering wheel, and aren't in one spot for very long; probably not in one spot for more than 30 seconds. Then move hands, switch hands, reposition, drink my Yeti full of coffee, adjust volume on radio or switch stations, etc. If I fixed my hand to the steering wheel for 5 or 10 minutes and didn't let go or move it whatsoever, I bet it would feel a lot more hot like the seat does. Think about it: if you were constantly hopping in and out of your seat, your ass wouldn't have a chance get nearly that warm, would it?

Well, not with that attitude.

I rented a 2025 Rebel in 10 degree temp the wheel was really hot, intolerable. In 45 degrees, same- intolerable. Either had to take it down to one light or off after just a few minutes. This truck did not have hands free driving, it did have assist.
