2022 Ram 1500 Limited
Current Ride #2
Wrangler 392
I'm a bit torn. I should have bought a TRX when they came out, but didn't pull the trigger. (got a Wrangler 392 instead) By the time I could have talked myself into it, interest rates were nuts and prices were up $10k. Oops. So bought a 2022 1500 instead.

The RHO interests me. I like everything about it EXCEPT the widebody. I say that, because living in South Florida, even dealing with the width of my current 1500 is a hassle at times. Who am I kidding. It is a hassle OFTEN. And my truck is my 'practical' driver.

So while I'd love to get an RHO on 35s, and the Level 1 looks like it has everything I'd want... It just may not be practical, size-wise. A level 1 Limited Night seems to be a very similar truck - at a very similar ($85k) price.

Obviously the suspension, wheel clearance, and overall "look" is different. What ELSE am I gaining, or losing, between the RHO and a loaded 2025 Limited? I feel like there could be 5-10 little things that I'm not considering (or that aren't obvious) that may push me one way or the other, but until I see both on the lots not sure what they'd be. Power side steps may be a good example, but seems like the TRX crowd figured out adding those.

Why are you asking here? It seams pretty clear to all of us it’s not for you.

The one thing you in ALL CAPS don’t like is the one thing that is distinctly RHO. And can not be optioned out.

the flat steering wheel give you more room if you have a big belly like me, that is often an overlooked detail. Otherwise they are comparable in accoutrements other than what you already mentioned. You could put leveling links on a limited and fit 35’s which would avoid the extra width but you would be giving up the extra room for a big belly.

I would get the Rebel X. Or a Rebel GT over the limited, but that is just me.

As far as I understand it, the Limited is the lowest trim level that comes with the HO engine.

Great, guess my $85000 problem is solved.

Not sure how you feel about the rotary dial in the Limited, but the RHO will give you a real shifter. And this button. But then again, it’s the same engine as the Limited so I’m not sure what the point is with the Launch button.

And now that I think about it, you’re on 4-auto all the time with the RHO (just like the TRX). No 2WD mode.

That's an interesting point, although I never once used 2wd mode in my previous 4-auto ram. And the locking axle would be another $600 on the Limited. And at this point I'm used to the dial but I wouldn't mind a shifter again.

I guess my real confusion is that the RHO seems like a great deal compared to other "performance" trims from Stellantis. Which makes me suspicious that there must be a hidden $5k of features I am overlooking in the limited.

Air suspension, power running boards, rotary shifter, multi function tailgate, ram boxes, and two tone leather interior available on the limited. Less belly room with a full round steering wheel.

check the two financial evaluation to see value depreciation overtime. Compare the trim in this direction. Value retention is higher with RHO i guess. You may end selling it after short use for a higher value. !!! Just another thinking point

But now you're not apples to apples on engine! otherwise, yes lol.

I guess width could be an issue but it’s only 3” added to each side. I’m in SC though and our parking may be a little more spacious. I’m not a fan of Ram’s Air Ride, so the RHO is good for me on suspension. I feel like the interior comes down to personal preference but I do prefer the console shifter over the rotary dial. I also like the carbon fiber accents on the RHO, as well as the red accent option. I will have to add power steps to the RHO but the thing I’ll miss the most is the Ram Box! I loved that feature on my limited.

We used to live in Florida. The roads are much wider there compared to where we live in East Tennessee now. We’ve been putting the Raptor through these very curvy narrow roads for six years now I don’t think the extra 1.7 inches of the RHO will be a problem either.
