I live near Houston and the amount of TRX interiors, engines, parts etc that are for sale on FB Marketplace has me thinking they’re probably not parting out their own totaled vehicle.

I’m surprised the auto theft task forces don’t work these ads. I’m sure they could find a stolen vehicle or two if they did.

I'm surprised there even is an auto theft task force. Ours out here is just this side of useless. They recently caught 4 guys, but only by accident and then they attributed/pinned them with the theft of hundreds of trucks out here. Meanwhile, our insurance premiums go ^^^^^^^^

On another note, if you see a Ram Bar on there for a "steal" please let me know, I'd like one at mark down

They don't give a damn. I know a guy with stolen trx who had GPS on it and cops didn't wanna do a damn thing because it was loaded in train already and they needed few days to get warrant going so in few days it showed mexico by end of the week it was in Dubai already.

Last year me and my friend left ocean fishing and were gone 5 days. Come back his car is gone ( not a trx ) and started following it since he had some kind of airtag or something that kept pinging none stop. Well found the car by liquor store with 3 people around and just camped out watching while calling cops.. guess what they took busy unless it's emergency. So I stayed back he left to police station and they just tell him sorry can't help just file report

Let's just say about a week later received a phone call that they found his car burned down.

You mean there’s a legal process that requires warrants? You’d prefer cops can just kick in your gate on your property because they think you might have something?

That be something if they did I was just more amazed that they needed days to get something going when container sitting straight in yard waiting to be loaded on train.

I traded my 2020 Raptor back in 2022. A year later the guy that bought it from the dealership asked me if I still had the Ford app installed as it had been stolen from his driveway. I didn't but, reinstalled it. Told him I have good news and bad. The good news is I can see it, the bad is, it's in Matamorez. Mexico. Turns out, it's in cartel country. Cops, insurance, army won't touch it. It was only about 1 mile across the border so one night while both drinking we concocted a plan to rent a car, bring a gun, and go get it...Thank God the wives intervened. LOL
For several months I would screw with the cartel. I'd lock it, unlock it, and set off the alarm at 2 am all the time...
When I bought the new RHO, first thing was to install the IGLA system....hope it works well.

A raptor I owed and sold was then stolen. We could see it in Mexico but, the police (here and there), insurance, and mexican army would do nothing cause it was in cartel country. And we wonder why our insurance prices keep going up. Daily I could see where the truck was, where they would move it to (ie. grocery store) and they did NOTHING
