What are your guys thoughts on this. I was looking over the front of the truck to see about ordering a light bar for the front grill and noticed this:

Definitely was not there when I picked up the truck. I am thinking it was a rock on the highway. I am sure the grill is not cheap and probably not available for months. No other damage at all to the front.

Idk looks like a stress crack , that sucks

The missing piece has a divot in the upper left corner. Looks impact-related to me..

Damn yeah that sucks.

Meteor shower damage like that is pretty common out here with all the gravel trucks, construction and poor tie downs. If you have plastic weld and some filler, its an easy enough fix though.

My question is if this is impact related can it be avoided if ppf was applied? Seems quite brittle to me.

I don't think PPF could prevent that, although it would have minimized it to some extent. To exactly what extent, I'm not sure.

Likely cracked but wouldn't have the missing chunk. And then you'd get to pay to redo the PPF after the bumper is repaired.

Exactly that. It's an easy self-repair though. If it would be helpful I could go break some plastic and repair it then toss it on a video thing for ya.

That would be great if you could post a video on how to repair. I took the grill apart today and was able to isolate the broken section. I can get to the back of it and I have the missing chunk. I have a felling replacement parts are going to take a while to come down the pipe. For any search guru’s out there the part number on the broken piece turns up no results on Google. Part number. 68565880AA. If any of you guys can find anything that would be great!!!
Thanks in advance!!!

Damn, that's a hell of a hit from something.

Doesn’t appear that Mopar has parts for the RHO listed yet. I can’t find anything on that part number.
