Possibly. I wonder why? Do they want to run into the back of slower moving traffic? That’s adaptive cruise control. I think they’re looking for old school style set the speed and that’s it no slowing down or adjusting following distances
I prefer the old school as well. I like to set cruise to the speed I want to go, and then merge around slower traffic when I get close enough to do so.Possibly. I wonder why? Do they want to run into the back of slower moving traffic?
Just kidding. If they don’t want following distance control, I’m sure there’s a good reason. I haven’t tried to override that function yet, so don’t know how. Maybe just keep reducing the following distance until the green bar disappears?
Tim covered it in a video. When the sensors ice up it doesn’t work anymore and you have no cruise control and the crash avoidance keeps going off at least it does in my Ford.Possibly. I wonder why? Do they want to run into the back of slower moving traffic?

Exactly right. I'll have a follow-up video dropping today if I can get a few minutes to update it. I spoke with Ram PR today about it and they confirmed with engineering. The short answer is no regular cruise control on certain RHOs and certain Ram trucks. The long answer is pretty interesting IMO.We found a benefit of a base model, lol. I don't have the self-driving option so got adaptive and regular old school cruise control on mine.
I imagine it would have factored into some people's buying decisions that's for sure. This is why I love to buy trucks. I learn so many new details I might have completely missed when doing a 7-day press loan review.I literally would have ordered a Lv 0 if I knew this!
I may have missed it but I didn’t think he said level “0” has regular cruise control either. As far as hands free assistance it’s disappointing that it requires a subscription but that the way it is. We can let it bother us or just pay the sub $300 a year and enjoy the feature.I literally would have ordered a Lv 0 if I knew this!
It does. Level 1 has the hands-free driving assist feature. When you get that feature, you lose regular cruise control.I may have missed it but I didn’t think he said level “0” has regular cruise control either. Does the truck not come with complimentary several years like most manufacturers? This is news to me. I also like old school cruise but don't mind any form of upgrade so long as it works in all conditions and temps.I may have missed it but I didn’t think he said level “0” has regular cruise control either. That part I didn’t miss. It comes with only three months free.Does the truck not come with complimentary several years like most manufacturers? This is news to me. I also like old school cruise but don't mind any form of upgrade so long as it works in all conditions and temps.
OOOPH. RAM using the John Deer business modelThat part I didn’t miss. It comes with only three months free.
TBC, that’s the hands-free driving assist for 3 months. That’s not unusual. That part I didn’t miss. It comes with only three months free.
What other features are in this subscription? Is it like Toyota where you need it for remote start or is this just for driver assist like the Tesla sub?TBC, that’s the hands-free driving assist for 3 months. That’s not unusual.
