So the reason I am looking into getting the RHO is because I just wanted to get something a little more updated from my 2021 TRX. Here are my considerations/concerns:
  1. The RHO 0-60 will actually be the advertised 4.6 while the TRX's advertised 0-60 of 4.5 was actually 3.8 when tested (Not that I'm some speed racer but that is a huge 0-60 decline)
  2. The RHO still has not had any direct videos of the exhaust, but for what I have seen so far it sounds decent. I know nothing will compare to the V8 in the TRX, but still something to consider.
  3. Recently many articles have been suggesting towards a newer TRX. I attached the article to this post.
  4. My 2021 TRX seems a bit "dated" now considering it does not have any of the new tech a 22+ TRX has, more so the tech a RHO will have.
  5. I want to optimize the value I can get for my 21 TRX at the moment, but I am assuming value will remain stagnant in a couple years. Who knows for sure.
My thoughts now are that I either hold onto the TRX until the new one possibly comes out or get the RHO to hold me over till the new TRX.

Would love to hear your opinions.

Not sure how much a 2021 TRX is worth, but if you can sell TRX for close to the price of a new (Forum discounted dealers) RHO... to me that is very compelling.
You get a brand new vehicle w/ 2025 tech/safety and a fresh 3 year warranty.
For me, the RHO 0-60 at 4.6 sec is perfectly acceptable.

I notice that you don't have any complaints on range, mpg, insurance, etc. Tech of 22 v 21 is basically just a digital dash. Really not that different. If range and mpg don't bother you and your truck otherwise has reasonable overall mileage, I don't see any reason to change. TRX is a fabulous truck. And this is coming from someone that owned a 21' TRX for 2.5 years before switching to a 23' GEN3 (which is garbage compared to TRX). In fact, if you just want a newer truck/tech and, again, if range, mpg, insurance, etc. aren't an issue, pick up a 24' TRX. I've ordered a RHO, but if I weren't bothered by range, mpg, insurance availability, teenage son, etc., then I would be sticking with TRX. I just loved that truck.

I was considering adding the MPG as a consideration, but we don't 100% know if it will be the rumored 15/21. MPG is definitely on my list of concerns though.

A few friends mentioned switching to a Raptor. I don't care for Ford unless its the Raptor R and I refuse to pay 140k+ for a truck. Curious, why do you think its garbage?

Before my TRX, I was a "Ford" guy. I previously owned two GEN2's. I'd never owned a Ram and was paranoid. TRX blew me away in every way. I'm in a GEN3 now, but it is such a downgrade in terms of fit, finish and function compared to the Ram. Anyone who is suggesting you go to a Raptor simply hasn't owned both for any extended period of time. The only area where my GEN3 excels over my TRX in terms of the truck is handling. The Raptor does feel lighter and more nimble, which isn't a surprise since it is lighter and more nimble. For me, the RHO seems like perfect balance.

Similar boat, sort of. I had two previous TRXs and enjoyed them both. Then I went to a Rivian pickup for the past couple of years which was great, but I was missing the super truck looks. The fuel economy of my old TRX wasn’t a problem financially, but I just felt like an idiot rolling around in something that got single digit mileage if you had any fun with it at all. My old Raptors averaged 15-16 pretty much regardless of how I drove them and that was an appropriate number for me to not care about it at all. The power of the RHO is plenty…EV trucks slaughter all the ICE trucks in the power and performance areas. I just wanted a competent and decently quick TRX-like truck with similar FE to my old Raptors. And here we are. Excited about mine and I hope I see it by the end of summer.
