I live in Arizona, our Lemon Law applies if you live here and primarily use the vehicle here, even if you purchase out of state. Here if a vehicle is out of service (at the dealer) for 30 days or more within the first 2 years/24k miles, or has been at the dealer 4 or more times to fix the same issue, then a replacement vehicle or full refund is to be provided to the vehicle owner. Everyone should get to know their state lemon laws and whether or not they can go by their home state or need to go by the Lemon Law rules or the state that they purchased from - DOCUMENT ALL DATES AND INFO RELATED TO ANY SHOP/REPAIR TIME!

Florida---To qualify for arbitration under the Lemon Law, the vehicle in question must have been sold (or leased) in Florida.
This sucks.

Are you purchasing in Florida, as well? If not, you still may qualify for the Lemon Laws in the state you purchase from.

Louisiana--
  • Any person is protected who is entitled to enforce the warranty
I did not find any reference to where it is registered or the owner's residency. Not as straight forward as purchase and register in same state, but seems some protection is provided.
