Max Idle Time

Does Ram have a selectable amount of time the truck can idle ?

On my Fords, you can toggle off 30 min max idle to keep it from shutting off.

I did not have this option on my last GM trucks .

Need to idle for work at times .

These engines aren't engineered to idle for any extended duration. There is lots of scientific information out there on how much more wear idle does to engine vs driving.

I believe auto start will shut off after 15 minutes. But not sure about just plain idling while on.

My Fusion would shut off after 28 minutes of idling...

My Fusion would shut off after 28 minutes of idling...

Both my F150 and F250 will shut off after 30 minutes. Both of them have toggle in the features to turn this off, they will idle until out of gas.

I realize it’s not ideal- just need the ability to do so occasionally.
