Not sure how I feel about no standard cruise control on Level 1 package. I drive for a living and hit highways for hundreds of miles a day. Adaptive has always been great in traffic or "city" driving but is frustrating when trying to fly down the road. So inconvenient when you are cruising along and then all the sudden you're bleeding speed because you didn't get over in time for the sensors. Most cars Ive owned had the option to switch back and forth as needed, and 90% of the time I'm in standard cruise. I honestly hope that the engineers do a software update for a push and hold to enter regular cruise. Not sure why something that costs them nothing is not an option. With all the "over the air" updates to the X7 I know this is an easy and available fix. I'm truly on the edge of not taking delivery as this was one of my top questions when I ordered and was told I'd have both options. I 100% know this is preference but it should not be an issue as both could be accommodated . Many cars, including my wife's current ride, have all 3 - Cruise Control, Adaptive, & Hands free. Help me understand if I'm missing something

I have the same opinion as you on this. Pretty irritated, but doesn't rise to the level of questioning taking delivery personally. I'll manage.

Exactly. I have so many old cars without CC it’s beyond 1st world problems. Use your foot. Trust me, you’ll survive.

On Level 1, there is only Adaptive CC. I believe on Level 0 you get the standard CC. I would have liked to have both, or if I could only have one, I'd choose standard. However, not a deal breaker for me. I love my truck and most all of the other functions of the Level 1 package. It was a small sacrifice for me, not a big deal for me personally. The truck is amazing

You really can’t use the word sacrifice ;). It’s a distraction or let down of the most minor of inconveniences. :)

Or . . . change lanes sooner?? My first Nissan Titan had both but my 2020 only has adaptive. I . . . adapted. Set it to the shortest proximity setting, get over a lil sooner or bear the consequences of bleeding 3-5 mph!

Adaptive is great until either the sensors get dirty or you're in the middle of nowhere causing the sensors not to see anything and assume malfunction. In the first case, cleaning them may help. The second means no cruise until it sees oncoming traffic which, in the middle of the night or on a seldom-traveled road, may not happen for long stretches. Not good when it's already been a long drive. Not having a non-adaptive option is short-sighted.

Is that something that can be changed by a software fix? I’m afraid it will be more involved than just that.
