Not a "problem" but surely wondering why? Engine Start/Stop

I honestly haven't turned the climate control off from being in "auto" for the 1000 miles I've had the truck --- I suppose I should give that a go.
That's probably the reason. If on auto, likely the A/C or heat is always on in some capacity, likely negating the start/stop "feature".

I am almost at 5,000 miles and mine has never shut off. I live in the Tampa area and a/c is always on. I have not once pushed the button.

I picked mine up in December. I live in Ohio. Heater was on until late April, so never had the start/ stop function shut the truck off until spring time. Then I had to remember to disengage that abortion of a feature each time I started the truck. After forgetting to do that a couple of times, I purchased the Auto stop eliminator. It was $100 well spent

Mine also rarely works (shutting off motor), but recently its started doing it more often, I am also in Tampa and have only had the truck 3 months so AC is typically on

Surprisingly, here in Texas, before I installed the disabler, it would do it all the time....so glad that is over and I dont have to remember to press the button( I know, first world problems)

We all likely can't stand the auto engine start/stop feature on our vehicles -- most of us typically purchase a dongle to delete the feature --- well, my new RHO hasn't start/stopped yet -- I'm currently at 1,000 miles. The light works if I press it, but under normal conditions (light not on) the engine has never start / stopped) . I wonder if I disabled it in the settings somewhere and don't remember it was even an option, or it's broke (and that's fine with me).
Any idea?
Same here! I have brand new 2026 and it has yet to start/stop!

so let me see if understand correctly -- you had the same experience as me, where it never worked -- and then all of the sudden it decided to start working? Software update perhaps?
Are you light on the brakes... If im light on the brakes coming to a full stop I can make it not shut off...

I think we're onto something here.. it just doesn't work 😅

Look at this BS.... at a stop light, foot on the brake and the message says not ready because the pedal is depressed LOL.

Dealer master tech diagnosed the issue with Stelantis as a faulty throttle pedal APP Sensor -- causing both the lack of start / stop and the loss of throttle / power I experience intermitently. They also diagnosed a faulted module in the infotainment not allowing digital key or update. Gotta say, they treated me well -- even added fuel back to truck they spent during test drives. Anyway, the tech did say if you're at a stop and you physically lift up the accellerator pedal, you may get start / stop to engage -- tell tale sign of a bad sensor in the unit. Parts are ordered -- pedal sensors (known issue) in stock, infotainment module - back ordered.
