Are these the same as the TRX? Not sure dimensions changed at all but a lot of take offs around me for like 500 bucks

I added the Go Rhino running boards on my TRX and they have been great.

I'm paying for the off-road road running boards.

As others have posted I'm sure there are many more options and probably for less money, I guess I like the OEM ones enough that I'd rather go that route than put in the time to research aftermarket options & find an installer I trust.

I was gonna take them off my order and pick up a set from a TRX... its a couple bolts

I got them as well. I had them on my trx and loved them. The look is great and the quality it very good imo

Well shoot, now I'm second guessing.

797 Performance has the Go Rhino running boards for about half the OEM off road running board price...

Or yeah, I could look for TRX take-offs...

I need to spend my mod money...wisely!

Yea I looked on marketplace and a lot in Austin for sale, guessing they put power ones on?

I saw a Ram with go rhino yesterday and was not a fan, sat really low

Step boards styles are definitely a personal preference. I very much dislike the fixed running boards, as it seems to destroy the high-clearance look of the truck. So I installed Amp power-folding boards. They’re there when you need them, and practically invisible when you don’t. Best of both worlds.

Did you get mud flaps to protect the sides from rocks getting kicked up?

There is a new F250 parked at work and it's passenger power running board stays down the whole time. Not sure if he hit it on a curb at Starbucks and it broke or?

No, mudflaps are also a hard no for me. I’d rather have rock chips

Also, for what it’s worth, you can keep your foot on the folding steps if you want them to stay down. The motor will sense the pressure and stop. I do that regularly when I’m in a tight parking lot and want to prevent door dings. Maybe that Ford owner does the same thing.

Why did you go with Amp instead of Mopar? Just curious since I’m planning to go one of these routes on my RHO.

I’m going with the off road running boards. I’ve had factory options on my 4th and 5th gen and they held up nicely.

It was a toss up. There was an Amp sale (with a rebate gift card) just before the holidays one year, so I went with Amp. That said, here are a few thoughts on the differences.

With the Mopar steps, you could use AlfaOBD to enable them in Uconnect, so that you could stow/deploy them from the screen. Not sure if/when AlfaOBD will work on the RHO, though. Amp steps, on the other hand, do not have that capability. The steps I bought are the “Smart Series”, which has an app (via Bluetooth) to remotely stow/deploy them. So there’s similar functionality, I guess. But I found it to be nothing more than a novelty at best. I’ve never found the need to manually operate them. Whenever I park and want the steps to stay out, I just keep my foot on the step to tell it to stay down. So in my mind, there’s no appreciable difference between the two.
I’ve never had Mopar steps, so I don’t know if they operate as a pair or independently. Amp steps are independent. So when I open the driver side door, only the left step deploys. My wife has a Lincoln Navigator, and both sides operate together. Seems like needless cycling if only one side is actually being used at any given time.

Anyone know whether the current gen AMP Research power steps will bolt on the 25's? I have a set on my current truck, I would love to swap over if they will fit. I'm with Eighty. I really like how the power steps fold up out of the way and have been very pleased with the set on my current truck.

I had no clue that was an option.
