I picked up Jan 25th and have since found a total of two dents/dings, a couple scratches, and at least five or six bubbles or dots in the paint where the clear streamed around it and dried. In an attempt to avoid body work, I had a PDR guy work on the dents today. He got one perfectly fixed but the other was on the top of the tailgate on the crease and is still slightly noticeable. He said it would cause more harm than good if he kept at it, which I did believe as I watched him do the whole thing.

Has anyone else had paint/body issues? Sometimes I think maybe I’m just too OCD and anal but it bothers me knowing there are flaws.

To make things worse, the nearest CDJR with a body shop is an hour away. Do I make the drive?

I feel your pain. Got the dent out but still need paint correction and I'm sure it'll buff put.

If you're gonna wrap, I'd just ceramic and wrap. If not getting them fixed would be way to go, if they bother you and will bother you daily.

I’d get the dents fixed for sure. The paint on mine wasn’t great. Mine is actually going back to the body shop for a couple of deep scratches. Also, I think my rear driver door is misaligned. It’s hard to shut compared to the rest.
My concern is that the longer I waited, they wouldn’t cover it or blame me for it.

Having been in the bodyshop business for 10 years & seeing what goes on in a typical shop, I avoid them at all cost, especially with a brand new vehicle. PDR by a highly qualified tech is fine.

One exception. Had a brand new Z06. 2nd day of ownership, a deer ran into the door. Don’t worry…the deer lived, but I was heartbroken. Anyway, after visiting a bunch of shops, I found a shop that specialized in Corvettes and the shop foreman & lead painter totally understood me.

They went to extraordinary measures to be sure my car was never stored in the dusty body repair shop. They actually removed the whole body side, so the car never had to enter the spray booth. The sent photos at every step. The end result was spectacular.

But this is such a huge exception to the general rule. So, if it’s minor scratch or chip, don’t worry…any car driven on the road, dirt, track, will suffer more scratches & chips. Touch them up & get over it.

I know, I know…it’s brand new, you paid big $$ & you shouldn’t have to live with any defects. Sure. Then live with the hassle and frustration of getting it “fixed” (ha) instead of driving & enjoying it.

Dents and creases I would get that shit fixed. I honestly didn't take a microscope to my truck. Walked around it, got in and drove away from the dealership without looking back. If I didn't notice it walking around it wasn't a big deal. I'm not taking it to SEMA. I figure at 100mph in dirt and sand with buff it out
