Hey guys I want to powder coat my front and rear tow hooks to add a little pop. What color do you guys recommend would go good with forged blue? I’m thinking making a satin bronze?

I want to do this, but the front hooks look like a nightmare to remove...

I saw a video where you have to loosen the skid plate then it’s not too bad but I agree definitely a bit of work! What color would you do on your forged blue?

Either Safety Orange, or Fire Engine Lime Green.

...everyone does red.

Could you add the video link?

I would suggest a bronze of some sort. Satin preferably

Hmm you don’t think the satin bronze will look like it’s rusting? Because everyone does red or very contrasting colors, I thought about doing mine matte gun metal on my forged blue to match the Vossen wheels if I did it. I feel like it’s probably a good idea not to add a 3rd color in there.

The contrast looks nice with all the black accents.

Yes as long as it’s matching with wheels or something.. such a small detail might look rusty if you don’t have wheels that make it all pop together.. it might look sick, just in my head I’m picturing rust unless it matching and looks on purpose.

Why not keep it black? The front looks menacing as it is.

I agree, that why I said I wouldn’t add a 3rd color. I’m just saying if I did go through the hassle of changing it, I’d do what I said early.

Had some electrical tape in multiple colors and just mocked up what I thought would look nice. Went with Red, but it was nice to see the options before committing.

I like the 3rd color for contrast...

The CEMA RHO looked great with the blue hooks.

I would never do it, but the old like WWII bomber green would look solid imo.
