So, first, no sunroof. All metal. But I was welcomed by a small rain shower inside the truck this morning. Looks like it came from the console area by the mirror. Anyone else? Other than this the truck has been flawless for 1100 miles.

Was this during a car wash, actual rain shower?

Be thankful that’s your only issue in 1100 miles…

That being said, had a ‘98 Tacoma that was flawless for my two years of ownership, EXCEPT a water leak around the windshield. 1st fix attempt was to add sealer, which didn’t work. 2nd attempt, they removed & reinstalled the windshield, which did work.

Made a mess of my carpet mats & floors. Got a new set of mats out of it, but was always worried the repeated soakings would foul the electronics (which were minimal compared with today’s vehicles). Nope. At least not during my ownership.

Good luck!

Wonder if it's like always sunroof or 3rd brake light. Even though 3rd break light usually leaks in the back. My friend took his trx 3 times to dealer before they finally fixed his sunroof leaking.

Is it coming from top of windshield? Could be poor seal (as in large gap). If so it's an easy fix that dealer should have any glass guy be able to redo. For regular rain to get in like that, it's got to be a substantial gap in my opinion. Like maybe the robot that tosses glass on ran out of goo and said f it, not my Monday problem.

Probably a gap in the urethane holding your front windshield in... that sucks
What really sucks is to fix it the glass has to be pulled(hopefully without cracking it and having to replace) and all the associated sensors behind the glass will have to be recalibrated
