RAM leaves me stranded.... no throttle

Pedal Commander enough said.
I wonder the occurrences with the Pedal Commander compared to the DiabloSport. No issues ever here but it seems to have happened to others.

Like I said this morning everything seems fine now , for the time being anyways. Disconnected the batteries for a 1/2 hour and the CEL cleared. We”ll see if it happens again. Pedal commander was my first thought as well but it’s working like it should now. There were so many alerts I can’t even remember them all, should have took a pic. One was throttle position sensor , one was something about parking brake , collision sensors were disabled amongst others. We shall see!!

Seems to have happened to only people with one or the other so far. Really mysterious what might be going on here.

Well, whether it's a physical connection problem (like I had), or an electrical/signal problem (due to the device), it certainly seems to point to the throttle body sensor. When I had my issue, I got CELs galore - from throttle body sensor error to trailer brake error. My dash was a Christmas tree. And after I figured it out and solved the connection problem, all the CELs went away, except for the generic "check engine" icon which I had to clear manually.

You're auxiliary battery is probably going bad, replace and see if the issues rectify.
Yeah, like I said earlier, everything seems corrected for now. If it happens again, that’ll be my first step before it goes to the c*&ksucking dealer

Just curious - I've heard people mentioning going to the larger -8 battery and ditching the auxiliary battery altogether. But has anyone tried going to a better, more expensive auxiliary battery ? to see if they had less issues ?

Is there a specific battery I should replace it with? I mean is one brand better than another or just get a new one the same size/amp?

One week later update -- since removing the CAT6 I haven't had the extreme 'zero throttle' issue repeat, however I have had lack of power happen at least 3 more times -- a 10 minute wait with the truck off seems to correct it -- no CEL or messages, total BS. I've also experienced blind spot monitor unvailable / faulted at about the same number of times but only once was it combined with the lack of power. Lastly I noted that my automatic e-brake (when placed in park) is only engaging sometimes -- and we already know the start / stop issue. I really want to love this truck -- when everything is right it's such an enjoyable beast, but these issues are nothing but poor QA/QC from RAM, it's embarassing, and 100% unacceptable.

Any update from your dealer?

appt this week -- I'm not encouraged after I found out the first RHO I tried to buy in Aug is still on the lift at the dealership - Stelantis engineer and team there still have't got it right.

These battery issues blow my mind. It's the year 2025 and Stellantis doesn't know how to manufacture a vehicle and/or source batteries that actually work?
