I have just about talked myself into building a set of ultra high flow catted down pipes for the RHO. Is there any additional interest? Would be CNC mandrel bent 304 ss and tig welded utilizing EPA compliant ultra high flow cats. Would be in the $2200 neighborhood given the cost of the cats at almost $1600 alone.

Yes. But wouldnt they require tuning ?
Nope, tuning wouldn't be required. More power would be realized with a tune or using a piggy back like the JB4 or CAT6. The more air you flow the larger the improvement or power gain would be over the stock configuration.

I would definitely be interested. The price seems more than fair. I would of course want to see/hear the final result.

Sounds interesting, but with California's bordering-on-psychotic laws on vehicle mods, it would probably be illegal....

I can't even get an oil separator without getting thrown in the C.A.R.B. (California Air Resources Board) gulag...

What's their argument on the oil separator? Doesn't it keep less oil from being burned and therefore emitted?

The problem isn’t with emissions. It’s the fact that the minute the oil separator can enters the state of California it will cause everybody to get cancer.

Suddenly, I can’t help, but wonder if it also has that warning on every menu in every restaurant in California.

Damn, sorry Cali I was just there with that installed. :)

Who knows? Not like they make up the rules based on facts or scientific data.
the pcv system is part of the emissions system, you're not allowed to modify anything related to the emissions system without the CARB rating.

I'm in new york, I believe technically we have the same rules as California, but they don't check like they do in cali. Generally, as long as you have now CEL's you can slide by.
