Hey all,
Just curious what you're paying for insurance on these things? I just got off the phone with my insurance company, shelter, & they quoted me $3,600 for the yr! That seems pretty steep to me, should I be shopping around? this will make my 10th vehicle insured with them + my house! I've got a decent driving record & great credit, just looking for advice I guess! Thanks

Wow that is.. even I'm in California and it's $176 a month it's at 100/300 coverage 500 ded.

I think if were going to post insurance prices it might be a good idea to include which provider, what coverage your paying for, and state insured in

My insurance went up $46/mo ($276/6 mo), but I added New Vehicle Replacement for the first three years. It would have been less than $25/mo without it.

*I'm not sure what we pay, with the house and cars all wrapped up into one payment. I think it's around $950/6 mo for my Fusion and her 23 Expedition Limited.

Geico in Hampton Roads, VA

All the rates I got back in AZ are $3600-9500 per year for my RHO. Not sure what I'll do just yet but shopped 18 carriers thus far.
Clean records
815 credit score
500 and 1k deducts didn't make much difference
250k/500k with 300k PD and Matching UM/UIM

I think all the RAM thefts are coming into play here in a BIG way.

30/60/20 is scary. In my state, like most we have contributory fault so if someone bumps me and in turn causes me to bump someone then my coverage comes into play and 20k doesn't stretch on PD like it used to and hospital bills are a whole other thing. As financial guy for several decades, it might behoove you to quote some bigger coverages. 100/300/100 really is minimum anymore, in my opinion.

Had a client years ago that hit a bus full of nuns, wish this was a joke but dude is getting wage garnished until he doesn't have a wage anymore. Shit happens

That's crazy! I'm with Geico in AZ, 4 vehicles, and the RHO (just the RHO) with similar coverages to what you are saying and including $0/ded on glass - the RHO will be $1,490/year. Basically only a $300/year increase replacing my 2016 Ram 1500 with the RHO.

Unless others live in Louisiana they wouldn't understand these rates. Sounds like that may be where you live. Highest insurance in the US is Louisiana. Many many different reasons. I’m an insurance agent here and I feel ya.

Entered the VIN for the inbound RHO into the USAA app for a quote. It came back as a TRX, so I'm assuming the quote reflects TRX horsepower, theft rates, etc (quote was +$40 a month over the current F150). Make sure your insurance company knows this is a different vehicle!

mine went up about $50 per month from a jeep wrangler 392. i'm now at 152 a month.
