RHO Level 0 Discussion

Why wouldn't you for $10k off?
I'm going to do an employee lease through the company. Payments will be cheaper than buying or leasing, and include insurance, maintenance, tires etc. Plus unlimited miles. If I like it enough, and don't put too many miles on it, I plan on buying at the end of the one year lease.

The base model truck for $70k was steal while it lasted, especially when jumping on a deal from Koons or Mark Dodge. It was only logical that they would start requiring Level 1 Equipment Group on all builds so they can keep their average transaction price up. Pictures of the base interior are few and far between. It wouldn't shock me if the base seats look better than the Level 1 seats. The only difference appears to be the material on the edges of the bolstering.

^^^This.

A significant part of the appeal of the RHO was/is getting a Raptor fighter for 60-65K instead of 80K.

For some of us, adding the Level 1 package for 10K diminishes that value proposition.

Just how I looked at things/made my decision when I ordered in May...

Youre not getting a new Raptor for $80k. It starts at $78k just like the RHO starts at $70k. $8k is $8k. So i ordered a loaded RHO level one from Mark Dodge. It was $74k. That's still lower than a Raptor starting at $78k. And it's LOADED. Not a great argument.

My base RHO (with bed liner & running board options) is 65K. Quite a bit less than a Raptor at 78K.

Your Level 1 RHO at 74K is still less than a base Raptor at 78K but still more expensive than my base RHO.

It might not be a big deal to you or your budget, but jumping from 65K base RHO to 74K Level 1 RHO takes some of the value proposition away for me.

I'm glad you're happy with your purchase/order, which will still be a better value than a base Raptor = pretty incredible! Glad we jumped on the RHO discount & hope we get our trucks soon!

My concern in the Level 1 becoming mandatory for all colors…what if…it’s NOT about bringing average transaction prices up, but a real supply chain issue.

We’ve been told there might be a slight delay on non-Level 1 trucks. I would not be surprised if a “slight delay” becomes “non-Level 1 is no longer going to be produced”. It happened on TRX…near the end, you could not order a base TRX.

Just have a bad feeling about this, since no one can tell me when my “scheduled” non-L1 will be built.

^^^An interesting theory, and not outside the realm of possibility unfortunately...but I sure hope non Level 1 trucks will get built eventually!

Surely deposit money would have to get refunded since the agreed upon order/purchase could not/was not built as spec'd...? Yikes.

I understand completely. Good luck with your truck. I hope we get them soon, for sure.

Does anyone have details on the rumored level 0 delays?

I called my dealer yesterday. Of course no information, other than my D1 “Scheduled” Level 0 truck has not been scheduled yet (no est build date).

I’ve asked if they can order another truck for me with Level 1 & I’ll take whichever arrives 1st. No response yet.

Did any of y’all’s trackers revert to D? Mine is broken because all base models went back to D I’m pretty sure and mine is still stuck at scheduled.

It's not just base models who went back to D. I have ordered base and level 1 just was trying to see what will arrive first and one of my base went back to D and one of my friends truck that level 1 also went back to D. All trucks were ordered April 27th.

It won’t say on the tracker that it went back to D. At least not for me. Kept saying scheduled even thought I knew I went back

Does anyone have a base/level 0 that's in production? I was on the fence about spending the extra money. My F150 is on life support, and if there is/was a big difference on delivery dates, I'd probably just order level 1 against my better judgement.

There were 9 of them that went into production. They never made it through from what I can tell. All others scheduled have been reverted to D status with unknown reason as to what the issue is.

Mine has not reverted back to D status…yet. And, there is no evidence it ever entered production.

My dealer’s customer order “guru” is looking into it today. If there is no estimated build date available on my L0 ordered on 5/8, he has agreed to order an L1 truck for me, as a backup.

My guess is that RAM has started producing Level 1 trucks prior to Level 0 due to media reasons. In most cases, the mfg wants people to see the “optioned out” vehicles to draw their attention and showcase what’s available in their lineup. Due to this being a “new” truck they probably are only building the Level 1 packaged trucks to get that initial batch out and on the road before they switch gears to a different build type on their assembly lines. I have yet to see any pre release level 0 trucks

We should do a run of “L0” bed decals haha

I ordered my level 0 on 10/30, but nothing showing on the tracker yet, is there usually a delay? I know it’s gonna take a long time, just want to see it there to know it’s at least in line.

I don’t think anyone that ordered the L0 has gotten out of the first bar of the tracker. Some did but it was a mistake and got taken back to the first bar of the tracker.
