Planning on ordering a RHO with the following options.
Diamond Black Crystal Pearl-Coat Exterior Paint
RHO Level 1 Equipment Group
Bed Utility Group

Here are my questions for the group. Do you think waiting to order 1-3 months will result in better incentives? Ram offered $1,000 until 2 Dec. Do you think that will turn into $2,000 to match the Ford owner inventive next month. Since there is a line anyway why get in line to early? Give me your thoughts please.

I think incentives are hard to predict. Interested rates should only improve over the next few months. If you have a Ford, you can lock in $2k in incentive to switch to Ram. If you order through Mark Dodge, you can get a huge discount. If you aren’t in a hurry, the wait should get shorter at some point, but there’s no rhyme or reason to timing right now. Hope that helps.

Has there been an incentive yet for the RHO? There was never one for the TRX - even the blanket/vanilla incentives always excluded the TRX.
I would assume the same for the RHO unless someone has evidence to the contrary.

You can pretty much forget about the price of anything coming down

I think some people got $1000 incentive recently, don’t know the details. Also, Anthony from Mark Dodge confirmed that the $2k incentive for current Ford owners was valid for RHO.

Ram don't know wth they're doing and there's certainly no reason given as to why people are ordering now and they're going into production before the first orders. I'm beginning to think MD pissed off Ram funny not funny.

I don't think the incentives will be any greater than what they are now (Ford conquest and $1k Ram Direct Code). Plus, if the roll out mirrors the TRX roll out (which it seems to be) I would not be surprised to see a price increase in the next two months.

I have tried also to find out what RAM's "method" is in order of building. SILENCE. Inquiries ignored. While one may think it's incompetence or scattered thinking on RAM's part, I also think that RAM has some, hidden from us customers, a barrier with MD. MD is the most aggressive sales dealer in USA. They clearly have the largest amount of RHOs on order. If I were RAM I would make sure to honor a high volume dealer. BUT RAM ignores, to a large extent, these facts. They seem to be deliberately infuriating MD customers. In psychology this might well be a "passive-aggressive" move on RAM Sterling Heights. Glad Tavares is gone. Now whoever is delaying, slowing MD orders from April thru May, even June, needs to be transferred out maybe? The current way they build is nonsensical and appears without any planning or thought.

Some clues that something is amiss here for us who like and ordered from MD.

One guy on the forum, "New to the Group" has promised to ask since he works there. I haven't seen any posting since the promise.

Very interesting.

As of yesterday morning....

Mark Dodge RHO Orders: 524
National RHO Order: 2982
Mark Dodge occupies 17.6% of national orders

Mark Dodge Orders in K status or better: 100 (19.1% of our orders)
NON-MD National Orders in K status or better: 535 (21.7% of 2458 Non-MD Orders)

You are correct, they are building our tucks slower than the national average.
We are dragging 2.6% behind the curve.

BE SURE TO SEE "BUILDING RHO'S Discussion just placed:

"So today we are building 3 RHO's truck beds like every 15 to 20 minutes. Things have picked up on building them! But I'm still waiting for mine to go into production."

Does this signify a SIGNIFICANT increase?

While your percentages are appreciated, WHY are April-May-June, the earliest orders, largely dismissed and ignored? Even with "Ram does what it does," this still makes no sense as to why.

Earliest orders likely indicate "highest motivation" in wanting the RHO. Earliest means those are ones who will put up the money for the truck because they really want the truck.

Who plans these RHOs timing into production?

Confusing--Why ignore the most motivated by earliest ordering?

This is like banding one's head against a wall--it does nowhere.

You said that Ram was intentionally holding back orders from Mark Dodge. ("They seem to be deliberately infuriating MD customers")
If you want to lament about the lack of priority for earlier orders, you have my support and that of everyone at Mark Dodge. We are continuing to pressure ram for answers and action, but ultimately they do not work for us, we are a franchisee and they are the OEM.

But if you're going to spread rumors that accuse Mark Dodge of having a problem, being penalized, and try to harm our business, I am going to dispel that with facts and figures.

I always thought this forum was for open discussion. Apparently not. Such a response on your part is not welcome.

My intent was never to harm MD in this discussion. I praised your dealership.

I will not be put on the defensive simply because I'm wondering about the dynamic of what RAM Sterling heights does as to order of production.

I'm not the only one on this forum who wonders over these months as to RAM's logic.

The focus is correctly on them.

What would solve this whole discussion is clarity from RAM Sterling Heights on the order.

No such clarity has been forthcoming.

It IS an open discussion, I'm not an admin, I can't stop you from posting and haven't asked you to.
An open discussion means that you have to be open to responses as well, mine just happened to have data.

This is the second time you've suggested that Mark Dodge has a problem with Ram (or vice versa)
I have made no insults towards you, nor accusations, I'm here to help as much as we can.
Sometimes that help is going to include dispelling rumors if we happen to have facts that show otherwise.
Just like when the rumor was about graphics packages being the hold up, etc.
Nothing personal.

So, Anthony, you keep a track record of these "open discussions." So are there notes in my file? Will I be now punished?

I find that interesting. I now believe it is personal by your counting. No one would keep up counting if it was not.

Never have I criticized MD. I admit I've never ordered; bought on lot all other times. So this process is quite confusing in regards to RAM.

The speculations are driven by the circumstances created exclusively by RAM, NOT ME.

I find no fault with MD (as of yet).

Once again, my comments are never personal.

Many of those who have ordered early wonder too.

I have to dispel your rumor of my "intentions." You don't know anything my intentions. I never used the word "intentionally" either or implied such in your accusations of my post.

I NEVER intended to do what you accuse me.

I post this for clarity as to your unwelcome response.

Not personal; just business.

I highly doubt ram is doing ANYTHING specific to MD, be it positive or negative, and while MD may be behind nationally, the percentage and sample size is far to small to draw any conclusions from. Even if MD would be significantly behind, it doesn't prove malice towards MD from ram.

You've done nothing wrong, we would never penalize you for being frustrated with the timing of these orders. You can call me every name in the book and I would l still take every opportunity to show you the most efficient and transparent purchase when the truck comes in. If I wanted to work with less-passionate customers, I'd imagine selling Buicks would be pretty mundane. We value the energy and feedback, and we share it with RAM (sometimes when they ask, sometimes without them asking). The fact of the matter is that RAM operates in ways that are absolutely foreign to to most comparative experiences, and it's natural to try to find the smoking gun - but in this case, it still hasn't been found. It's not some rift between Mark Dodge and Ram, it's not a particular color, etc. We don't have any answers yet on what it is, but where I can show data I think may be valuable at large, I'll try too. I'm sorry if my intensity came across at first, I'm as passionate about our process and mission as you are about getting your truck!

Note: I have owned 3 Buicks in my younger years. They were wonderful. And we even factory-ordered them too, but I was too young to absorb how that process looked at that point, I got the hand-me-downs.

Anthony, the process for me has been absolutely fine thus far. Granted, I’ve only been waiting a little over a month. If I wasn’t willing to wait, I wouldn’t have sent my money to get the process started. You have been excellent so far. I will patiently wait. If the time limit passes I’ll make my decision from there. You can only deliver the beef that’s been produced. And when you don’t own the ranch, you’re at the mercy of those that do. Keep up the good work.
