Hi,

I've joined the forum earlier but haven't had the chance to post here. I've got a red 2025 RHO and quite happy with it so far despite some of the negatives. No major mods just generic amazon TRX mud flaps and PPF. I did not like the glossy black two tone from factory so I've covered it with matte PPF. Here are some pictures of the truck around the city since it's too hot to go off-roading now. The last two photos are of a leather key fob cover and a custom hand rest made to match the factory leather. I've had a generic hand rest laying around and had it covered to match the door since my elbow left a permanent dent in the factory leather.

What do your friends think of the red beast? :)

Congrats! I bet he gets cheaper gas than anyone else on this forum!!

I love the Matt finish on the gloss black rockers. I planned on doing the same thing. My graphics guy has the decals and everything ready to go on my truck if and when it finally gets here. If you don’t mind my asking, did you cover the lower with Matte black or did you cover the gloss black with Matte clear

All loaded up!! Nice.

Bad ass man! love to see it. Who made the custom armrest? i want one. I was cruising in 34 ford victoria the other day and it has one factory. Almost 100 years ago and they were thinking! so comfy.

Nice! Like the elbow rest.
Thanks, it was made by a US company road-rest.com but they are no longer in business unfortunately.

Most of them like it but a few think the color is "too bold", I disagree of course :)

Thanks. I tend to fill it with the highest octane rating we have which is not cheap and not heavily subsidized by the government as they consider it for luxury vehicles (98 Octane gas - our octane rating is RON+MON/2). So maybe it is the equivalent of 91 octane US?

The detailer I did the PPF at suggested that first I cover the whole vehicle with glossy clear PPF. Then did a couple of option to cover the lower glossy black paint for me, one being matte clear PFF and the other Matte black sticker. They did not have Matte Black PPF unfortunately at the time so I don't know how that would have look.

After seeing the samples they did on my truck I went with matte clear PFF due to the self healing properties. The Matte black sticker will show swirl marks and scratches easier. The reason they suggested that I double up the PPF (clear glossy underneath + clear Matte above) is to increase the protection against stones and sand being kicked up from the tires when off roading. They really wanted to sand down the paint to get rid of the orange peal and factory paint imperfections, but I said no since at the end it's just a truck and will be used as one. The paint quality by the way is really bad and very thick from factory. When I tested the paint thickness at delivery, I almost thought it was resprayed by the dealer.

This is my truck being worked on at the detailers shop:

Nice truck!

Thanks

All loaded up!! Nice.
Thank you.

It was made by a US company with the site road-rest.com which no longer exists unfortunately. I just took it to an upholsterer to have it matched to the interior of the RHO. He said he could match it and make one from scratch if I wanted. This is how it looks like before the leather and stitching.

I got the photo from their archived web site.
