What's new

Should I pull the trigger?

The most important thing to me is the drivability and the reliability of the vehicle.

It's a fun truck to drive overall. I like the power and the suspension but I wish that the steering wheel on the street setting was lighter to turn. Since I got it three months ago it has been my daily driver and I am quite happy with it. The seats are comfortable, the noise while driving is acceptable and the Aircon is really good. It handles extreme heat really well and I did not get any overheating issues.

It's quite a new truck so the long term reliability is still not clear. Keep in mind while browsing forums online that most of the posts are about problems and complaints.

And I also want some fun driving haha How's the 3.0 hurricane like?

I am content with the power delivery and torque of the engine. I am also happy with how it sounds with the stock exhaust unlike many others. I currently have and used to have several turbo and supercharged V8s so I am not new to forced induction. However, I find the turbo lag on my engine a bit too much, feels like a full second or more sometimes. Keep in mind that my truck is for export market so it most likely comes with a different ECU map the the US market. I just have to adjust my driving style a bit especially accelerating from a total stop. When driving this truck I tend to wait a bit longer to merge into traffic, leave a U-turn, or enter an roundabout, etc. This is my first Turbo 6 cylinder engine, so maybe this turbo lag is a characteristic of such engines or maybe something is wrong with mine. I have a friend who recently purchased an RHO, I am planning to try his truck out and see if I feel a difference.
