messed around a bit and took the muffler off a couple months ago and replaced it with a dual pipe. great desicion when I start it in the mornings it sounds like a beast and even better on the road. I’m thinking if i should take the cats off too?

Okay I'm not a spoiled ass rich kid (although my kids might be at this point thanks to their mom) and I don't live in Southlake...but we DO go there pretty regularly

It would be HIGHLY inadvisable for you to remove the cats unless you want CEL codes and poor performance. And of course if you're in the US you'll be in violation of vehicle emissions laws and run the risk of vehicle impoundment and hefty fines.

But it's your truck and your money....

I just looked up homes there....its a bit pricey ....our home would probably go for well over $1mm. 11k sq ft lot, 4 bed 3 bath 3k sq ft, 3 car garage with car port, large pool with enclosed patio....

Im good where I am lol

and our weather is a bit less crazy...but we do have hurricane potential

I’ve removed cats on many previous cars. But always with a tune specifically designed for this so that the CEL lights are clear and the car is tuned for the extra free flow.

I have come to prefer exhausts with “race cats” which are high flow as they give gains and sound while still being kinda legal, not triggering CEL lights (depends on car and setup), and you don’t have to smell the headache -inducing fumes.
