I wanted to start a thread where we can track all info that becomes available on when the TaZer DT will be available for the RHO. While waiting on my RHO to get here I hastily bought the current model assuming it would work. After messaging Scott @zautomotive, turns out everything is different. I'm assuming this will be the same for all 2025 trucks and not just the RHO. If anyone has any inside info or anything to add please post it up.

I’m curious what features are you most interested in customizing your truck from this device.

Me too..

I know nothing about it.
I Googled it and found a listing on Amazon. First I'd heard of it. It seems like it has quite a few features and would be handy. It doesn't work with the TRX which makes me cautious about it working with the RHO in the future.

For myself: Amber DRLs, Auto hold and I think you can remove the seat belt chime. Delete auto start stop if that's an option as well.
Does the horn beep if you step out of the running truck with the key on you like Ford does? I deleted this via Forscan and hoping Ram doesn't have this annoying feature.

It worked on all 5th gen 19+ 1500s, up to 24. Including the TRX. It just seems there were some infrastructure changes on the 25s.

Tazer DT is an essential tool for owners of the new 2019 or newer Ram 1500 (New Body Style Only, including Ram TRX)

Simple, plug-in installation – simply unplug the SGW module and plug the Tazer DT Mini in its place. It is easily accessible, located above the OBD2 Diagnostic connector.

Tazer DT features can be broken into three categories:

• Vehicle Settings, accessed with the engine OFF and the ignition in the “RUN” position. These are changes made to the truck such as tire size, gear ratios or settings which accommodate other upgrades. These changes will continue to operate after the Tazer DT is unplugged.
• Live Functions are accessed with the engine ON. These are operations the Tazer DT performs live, only while it is physically connected.
• “Non-Menu” Live Functions are not located in a menu. They are activated automatically or with a steering wheel button combination. These are operations the Tazer DT performs live, only while it is physically connected.

Ah, I stand corrected. The Amazon link I first looked at said no TRX.

Funny you mention auto hold. I just had a neighbor buy a new Traverse, his wife's Blazer got rear-ended and had to total it out forcing him to buy something ASAP. The dealership sales guy was trying to explain auto hold by having them sit in front of the dealership with the engine running and in gear to show how awesome the "feature" is that the SUV won't hit the dealership. *facepalm

I then explained it to him in a way that actually made sense. I should do a video or a video short on it. Most people, I'm finding, don't know what it is or what it does. However, once they do, I find a lot of them love it for stoplights and traffic jams.

I never had it prior to my 23 Tremor and now I am used to it and love it when sitting at a light. I rest my foot on the floorboard or even on the gas pedal without it going down before the light is about to change.

from what we hear on threads (in this forum and others) ... can bus changes, and SGW bypass changes for the 2025's wont allow current DT to integrate (or even plug in). I had the Tazer on previous RAM - DRL position/color, Fog Light Drop Out disable, tire size changes, Auto Mirror Fold (although I believe this is now an option in the factory menu) ... even had a "light show" option for flashing the LEDs in different sequences (more for a car show display or possibly for emergency/construction use) ,,, also cool-down (fan running after vehicle shut down) ,,,, ill be interested in the availability for RHO also - but for sure want stability first.

I have it on my Silverado and you can't turn it off. Its great until you are trying to backup to a trailer on a small hill and it keep holding each time you let off the throttle. I've nearly put the hitch through my bumper more than once.

Yet another reason I can't wait for this RHO to arrive and the Silverado to go!

Looks like Tazer just got their RHO.. hopefully soon

I found this video a few months back for the TRX. hopefully they come out with the RHO version soon. It looks like there's a good amount of cool stuff you can do with it.
