So I left the house today and had it in sport mode, it’s a little wet out and I came to a red light, stopped and I purposely got on it and it was like traction control made the motor die and I had no power. Truck said to put in park and press brake to start. I had to pull over, put in park and restart and then it went back to normal. Drove just fine.

Is this normal?? I thought it was a little much if that was just traction control

I hope that is not how the traction control works on this truck. I thought sport mode reduced or turned traction control off?

I'm Curious was Start/Stop on or off?

I wonder can you pull any codes of registered. Did you have your jb4 active ?

You're correct, Sport mode turns off traction control and brings has screen pop up that says as much.

If the timetable is accurate it sounds like racemode gas pedal mash before fluids had warmed up and maybe computer to shut it down to avoid damage. Can pull codes but if that's the case not sure it'd show up

That’s a good idea. I’m actually going to go check that right now to see if there’s any codes that pop up.

I just checked and there are no codes registered. I’m going to try this out tomorrow and see what happens. Not sure if it was only because sport was on or what but I really wanna find out why all of that happened and I’m gonna try and take a video

Does your scanner have live mode and record? Always nice to have that data. Either way, auto start/stop off, fluids to temp and tear it up :D

I managed to keep my truck for 8 hours, then woke up and found fresh Baja like soil on a big lot. Kids had a blast.

...note to self buy underbody pressure washer

I only have the JB4 so I am going to record a log and then try to recreate it and see what happens
