I'll be trading for an RHO soon. I'm having a hard time dealing with the thought of my hellcat leaving but I'm doing it for tax purposes and having a fresh warranty. I'll get over it.

Should I sell mine outright or trade? Does NADA's average trade value use the msrp of the new truck or the number the dealership marks the truck down to before listing the value of the new truck for?

NADA / Blue Book does not take into consideration what you are planning to purchase, its cost, or who you are trading it in to. That being said, dealers always have a targeted amount of $ that they want to make on every transaction. If you are buying your RHO from one of the discount dealers, you will probably get near the bottom of the NADA / Blue Book. You have time. See what dealers are asking for their similarity equipped Hellcats. If selling for $1000 less than the listings you see nets you $1,000 more than your trade, I would think about selling privately. Don’t forget to factor in dealing with scammers and tire kickers.

I've had good luck selling vehicles to Givemethevin.com in the past. They offered slightly below private party pricing and the entire process was easy. Might be worth getting a quote.
