Trouble at two weeks of ownership (Hydraulic Control Unit Failure)

Bro, weird is an understatement lol. The trucks are finicky as fuck and, honestly, seems like some of these issues are not only common but extremely dangerous.

I wonder what will happen when one of these weird issues results in an accident, maybe no one gets hurt but what is going to happen when it is traced back to the truck's safety system randomly failing or the truck getting stuck in a random gear and the brake system gets messed up and how people are used to using the brakes don't work and you need to step on it with all your weight. Will RAM pay for it or is it expected my insurance will cover it? Will RAM put me in a rental or will my insurance have to cover it? Just seems like they won't be held culpable because "accidents happen."
All good questions.

I have eliminated (disabled) most of the safety features, the most important one to disable is the AEB (automatic emergency braking). AEB per RAM is "a safety feature that can help prevent or mitigate accidents", but in my view, it increases your chances of an accident. It's incredibly dangerous and it saves RAM from me and others going full on psychopath...so there's that.

I am with you on this one. Driving my wife's car, not my truck, and had a fool decide to exit the right side of the freeway in front of me from two lanes over. I guess he missed his exit. My wife's car slammed on the brakes going 75 down the interstate. I was extremely lucky it was late at night and nobody was behind me. To make it worse, he decided to swerve back on the highway at the last second and it happened again. I think it works great in a lot of scenarios, but definitely there are some edge cases that confuse the hell out of it. Safer to have it off.

Man I’m so happy to hear you’re ok, that’s insane!

One guy on here was at a stop light in the left turn lane. When the light turned green, he and the car in front of him on the opposite side of the road begin to pull forward and make their respective turns, but for whatever reason the RHO sensed a head on collision which was NOT true and slammed on the brakes in the middle of the inner section. Luckily nobody rear ended him or anything. Absolutely unacceptable!!! That’s when I made the decision the first thing I’m doing when I accept my truck was to disable this stupid dangerous shit of a feature probably designed my an AOC type.

Yeah, I recall reading his post. That's crazy and I think about it every time I make a left turn.

Yea when we have our families in these trucks, we don’t play these stupid games. RAM better address these concerns and quickly before somebody gets hurt, or worse!
