My 22' Raptor doesn't have start/stop? How were you so lucky to get it?I don’t notice it near as much as my 22 Raptor. So much better.
Think you are talking about turbo sound not lag. Typical turbo lag is from stop, you begin to accelerate and it lags prior to actually accelerating. Can be a huge problem when trying to step on it to merge into bad traffic and the vehicle pauses before actually moving.Strange, but it doesn’t feel like turbo lag because you can’t really hear the turbos spooling up…it more a change in exhaust tone…it becomes a bit gravely if you lug it under boost, like you were driving it as a diesel.
The engine is pretty soft below 2200-2300 RPM, at which point, Ram says 90% of peak torque becomes available. Below that, the engine is obviously building boost.
Ram seems to have done a good job with gearing & torque converter slip, because if you hit the gas quite hard from stop, it jumps to 2200-2300 RPM & pulls pretty hard with no obvious turbo lag. You might feel it during shifts if you lift the throttle a bit.
To be honest, until my 1st oil change is complete, I’ll not really hammering on it. So my opinion may change.
I understand. I got my driver’s license in the 80’s, when turbo lag was measured in minutes (I exaggerate for effect, but it was bad).Think you are talking about turbo sound not lag. Interesting. An example of how Not to imolement twin turbos is the Tundra. Had a 23’ and the off the line lag was rediculous. My X5 has more power and zero turbo lag.
That and the crap quality in fit a finish made me dump it after 11 months.
I think the pedal-lag is actually what a lot of people actually perceive as turbo-lag. It's terrible in my wife's Macan (pedal commander made it better) and I have noticed it on the RHO as well, just not to that extentAnyone notice any throttle pedal lag on these trucks?
The diesel are notorious for it and a pedal commander is pretty much a necessity.

Turbo lag can be exciting, just gotta flip your perspective and embrace the g's. But yeah, twin turbos drastically cut down on the fun turbo lag. In cars, I far prefer a large single turbine and trying to tame the lag beast. That’s refreshing. Literally the single item that I hate the most with anything turbo charged.
