Uodate on my RHO Delivery

So I called my Ram dealer where I ordered my RHO to get an update. My status showed shipped on December 12th and delivery is in TBD. My dealer spoke with the RAM and told him they put the vehicle in Shipped status but all that means is it goes from one side of the factory to the other. I should receive my RHO mid January according to the report. My delivery will update the date early January from what I was told.

My local Dealer information is possible delivery in Benicia today and won't be offloaded till 28th.
Hopefully I see this Truck before the New Year for tax benefits.

Finally got an update delivery time estimate of January 21st.

My truck shipped 11/26 and has been sitting at the rail yard not moving. Originally had an estimated delivery of 12/16, the moved to 12/28, now it is moved till Jan 5th. I doubt it gets here by 12/31 for my tax purposes. Looks like I’m buying something else

Just a guess but a dead battery might be playing into its delay.

That’s likely but it blows my mind how there is no communication or attempt to remedy the situation.

I'm definitely no tax expert, but if you have a vin can you use the write off? Any way your dealer can work with you to get the $$$/paperwork pushed through before the end of the yr?

Yeah, basically where I'm stuck at. Shipped 11/20, arrived at the port 11/30, and has been sitting there ever since. Last time i talked to Mark Dodge over a week ago, they said because of the holiday don't expect any movement until after the new year.

Factory technicians are currently building my vehicle. Mine will not have any issues, that have been reported on this forum, since the factory technicians have been building it for 25 days. Extra special care and attention.

Mine will similarly be flawless. Factory technicians have been working on mine for nearly 50 days now, almost 30 of which are Inspection alone.

Then I'm screwed. Mine was on a damn train heading for MD a week after it entered production.

You know my friends truck was at vendor 6 weeks then was waiting locally 2 weeks to get unloaded. He just picked it up a week ago and went on almost 600 trip one way told me truck been sitting in snow 2 days and started normal today.

We were thinking battery issues for sure after being stuck everywhere so long but so far so good. Now gotta wait and see for 600 miles back.

Got my RHO yesterday. Love it!! Level 1 package in white. It's a beautiful truck. All the bells and whistles minus the towing mirrors. Plenty of pick and im sure if there's a way in the future to make it a bit louder I'll go that route but I'm definitely happy with what I got. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

I’m no tax expert either but if my company writes me a check on December 31 2024 and I don’t cash it till January 31 2025 it’s still applies to 2024 expense for my company. So if your company buys a cashiers check dated December and uses it to buy the truck when it arrives I wonder if that would work.
Yes I’m well aware that it’s not 2025 and my response is late but hypothetically would this work? Any tax people out there.

Mine is going to be beyond flawless. Ram won't even considering building it until they work out all the new model year problems ......
