So this is my old build, the truck world is all new to me, nope, I have never owned one. CRAZY!

I really want to put beadlocks on my RHO and something tells me that I should just powdercoat the TRX wheels (I like them but they are not my favorite) and use those and put some 37's on as I feel if I put on Methods or KMC's, it just wont look right. I want to sell my wheels and tires while I have 500 miles on them

The other thing is that I want to level it but I also want to lift it a little, nothing crazy , is that going to throw off the suspension if I do that? Just thinking out loud, would love input on your thoughts and all

TIA

Killer truck! Can't wait to see my hydro in person..

I think the factory wheels are really good looking, so tossing 37's on those couldn't hurt..but if you decide to go aftermarket I'd be happy to hook you up price wise on a set of wheels or even just tires!

(Also love the quality of the photos)

@tlh235 Has done this. Maybe he can give you some tips?

I love the look of the factory beadlocks myself but also saw the Black Rhino wheels the other day and would like to see how these look on non lifted TRX as I really like the "H1" style about them.

Messing with factory suspension is the bad idea gift that never stops giving.

Pros: Looks and 37s give slight clearance advantage

Cons: Literally EVERYTHING else.
- Stopping distance dramatically increases
- tire wear will have you swapping rubbers out like you're at a Playboy mansion party
- MPG will take a gut punch, as will your pocket book.
- won't get any increased clearance with majority of lift options
- bigger tires and lifts will put significantly more wear on your engine, trans, brakes, and on and on.

Since you are new to this world i tried to sesame street it for you but anyone that's been down this road won't be able to argue the tens of thousands you're flushing down the drain for a LOOK. I've been waiting years for a truck that I loved the way it came, because I can't even imagine going down money flush road again.

Agree with you. Every truck I have had in the past would have a 4" or 6" lift, bigger tires and wheels in the garage waiting for the truck to arrive. I ordered the beadlocks since IMO it is a really good looking OEM wheel. For the first time I am planning on running the stock wheels and suspension.. Hopefully I can stick to that and save $10k.

Also agree.

I went 37s and Fox 3.0 suspension on my Raptor and had nothing but problems with drive shaft boots, steering rack, the list goes on. The added wear is not worth it for me.
