Who has the oldest unfulfilled order?

I am in the Tampa area. I found the truck yesterday and took pictures outside the fence. They were actually open and asked two workers if I could go check out my truck. I told them i could start it from my phone to show it’s mine. They let me walk around it and then the owner of the shop came over. I told him to not touch the truck because only I can authorize any work on it. I explained I knew nothing about it being damaged and I was in contact with my dealership.
I started out in the automotive business in the Saint Pete area. And then 20 years in the Orlando area I know some really good body shops. Not all shops are created equal PM me the name of the shop it’s in if you don’t mind. I will have it checked for you

Demand it stolen? This is a truck he doesn’t even own yet. I am so surprised Ram allows you guys GPS tracking on these vehicles that aren’t even sold yet. It gives you guys some weird sense of ownership to something you’ve not even completed a transaction for.

I do like the idea of knowing the location and timeline for the truck I have on order, but also I’m seeing it cause a lot of additional anxiety for some potential buyers.

Hope it works out and the dealer takes good care of you on it. It stinks to wait for so long to be disappointed at the very end, but chances are you’ll have some options if you work with your dealer.
I finalized paperwork on the 19th and waited for the power running boards to be installed before shipping. As soon as the paperwork was done they give you access to the vehicle on the app. If I didn’t have access I would have never known that it was at a body shop. This guy would have tried to deliver without me knowing that he had repairs done without my consent. The shop knows to not let him near the vehicle and the dispatcher was told also by my dealership. I am lucky I have his cell to get in touch with him on a Sunday.

For anyone who cares, my truck is finally on the train to pearland. 4/7 eta. Then to mark dodge, then to montana. Maybe mid april delivery for a grand total of 11 months. FUN. just excited to finally get it on a real note.

Whatever happened with this?

The body shop fixed the damage and waiting on shipping company to refund my money. I picked up the truck last week from the body shop not the driver. I just wanted my truck. I waited 11 months from my order date and never thought I would be picking it up from a body shop. It looks great and just put 300 miles on it breaking in the engine slowly. Everything thing happens for a reason and just letting go of what happened. I love this truck and so does my daughter.

i have a trucking company, and in my opinion the company you dealt with needs to refund you, pay for repairs, and then give you something extra on top too. to avoid you going after their insurance, which no trucking company wants as rates go crazy
