Why RHO??

In all seriousness you make some legitimate points. The dead spot is due to the slightly larger turbos,(Fords are smaller, spool up quicker)and the extra half liter of displacement. I would have loved for the h.o. Hurricane to have been a 4.0liter. I believe this would have eliminated the dead zone/turbo lag.
As far as the exhaust sounding better on the 3rd and 4th Gen i would agree. I would have to say my rho sounds better than my 2nd gen ever did, 3rd and 4th Gen raptors sounded like a gtr with the active exhaust.
While I love my bilsteins the live valve
Systems on the raptor,(especially the dual valve setup on 37s) is amazing!

Absolutely agree 4.0 would rock the house. It would also get better fuel economy also since trans and rear ratio's wouldn't have to be so aggressive.

Better…
Looks
Performance
Interior

Win win!!

Interior of RHO waaaay nicer. Plus, I can’t stand the key alert noise in Fords. Bing bong, bing bong…

That being said…after extensive experience with HO Hurricane vs HO 3.5 Ecoboost…the Ford drivetrain is more tractable & just plain works better in normal driving. The HO Hurricane has a torque “dead zone” from 1500-2400 RPM, which is where I like to drive when not being aggressive.

Both engines sound like sh#t on the outside. Inside, the Ford sounds a bit better.

Also, Raptor suspension tuning is superior, IMHO…at least on the street, which is where we all spend most of our time.

I’m a Ram guy, so Raptor was never an option.
CAT 6 more than solved the "dead zone". I run it on level 2, because level 3 has too much boost for me!

Cummins was in the shop getting the heater core replaced, RHO was sitting there, so I took it home. I’m an impulse buyer. 😂.

I was in the market for a Raptor and saw an RHO on the road and looked it up. I have experience with the Raptors but the RHO was new to me. TRX didn’t make sense to me and they weren’t making them. Found this forum and Mark Dodge. Couldn’t pass up the deal. Very happy so far. My buddy in town with a Raptor R is looking at them now. I kept my F-350 and other vehicles. This is my fun car that I daily now because it’s so nice to drive.

for me, RHO is close to perfect as can be.

I had a Gen 1 Raptor and it was a cool truck. I never could pull the trigger on the newer ones. Ram was always ahead of them in comfort and interior so I moved to Ram and have owned and daily driven multiple 1500s and a 2500 and other Mopar vehicles. Still like Ford but they just weren’t doing it for me.

After having a few Ram Rebels, I was looking for something a bit more fun and special. Didn’t want to go with aftermarket wheels and fenders and all but still love the off road look.

RHO came along and smashed it on looks inside and out and the HO hurricane was a pleasant surprise once I test drove it and realized it was more like a bmw than a muscle car.

I did cross shop it with a Raptor and Raptor 37.

-RHO looked better. My wife agreed and said no comparison. And she likes Raptors.
-I see about 8 raptors a day. Easy. I hate having something that everybody else owns.
-interior no comparison.
-RHO is faster and I like the ZF transmission.
-I’ve had a very good experience with Mopar
-RHO was significantly cheaper than Raptor

So far my RHO has been rock solid and I have absolutely zero regrets. I daily drive it, use it for family trips, school drop off, date night, and jobsite material deliveries in mud and sand. It does it all and I’d strongly recommend it to anyone in the market.
