Says it can be removed without a trace... We will see about that.Burgertuning/JB4 Beta for the 3.0TT in the Jeep Wagoneer says ~100hp gain, which would be incredible.
Nothing will replace V8 sound, but everything else about the 3.0TT is fine with me.
Can't just remove it, you also have to clear it but yeah no trace. I stopped trading extra hp for reliability and longevity but JB4 is pretty solidSays it can be removed without a trace... We will see about that.
100hp gain to the wheels
It will. There's already a piggy back that adds upwards of 100hp. Similar to the B58 piggyback systems.I’m curious to see the potential of this engine. Coming from a built engine hellcat, I’m itching to mod the RHO. I’m hoping it’ll be as stout as the B58.
I won't be doing any piggy back systems on my RHO, just the basic stuff, downpipes, larger exhaust, cold/hot pipes and larger intake. I'll wait for someone to break the ECM and get a proper tune. From what I saw, those results were on the standard output hurricane. Good thing is that it seems to keep your warranty but would 100hp be realistic from the high output engine with the piggy back? I’ll be happy with a stage 2.

The engine has potential with a good tune, maybe slightly bigger turbos for some more steam up top. I wonder how the transmission will hold up to an increase of hp. Not sure why they didn’t just throw in the 8hp95I won't be doing any piggy back systems on my RHO, just the basic stuff, downpipes, larger exhaust, cold/hot pipes and larger intake. Agreed. 553 ft lbs. doesn’t leave a whole Lot of headroomThe engine has potential with a good tune, maybe slightly bigger turbos for some more steam up top. I wonder how the transmission will hold up to an increase of hp. Not sure why they didn’t just throw in the 8hp95
I wouldn't go that far. It's an aluminum block with Plasma Transfer Wire Arc (PTWA) sprayed cylinder coating. The 2jz was an iron block. That engine is easily just as stout as the 2JZ so I don’t see any issues with a big boost in power.
Chris
Yeah, I wouldn’t put the hurricane in the same tier as a 2jz. But I think if the hurricane gets sleeved and forged internals, it should be able to hit 700-800 rwhp reliably.I wouldn't go that far.
