So, I just watched a video saying that after the 3-month trial period, you have to pay for the hands-free assisted driving?????? Is the Level 1 package worth it? What is everyone's thoughts?
They talk about the feature. I don't think anyone knew it was through subscription only. Does Ford charge for their blue cruise? I needed Level 1 because I got the sunroof option and wanted Harmon Kardon but man-o-man, it's a little deceiving about that hand-free thing. For me personally, the hands free driving was not something I intended to ever use and still felt L1 was worth it with the MD discount.
I've done the thing where I purchase the lower trim level on other vehicles and I've regretted it every time. That's just me, though, and everyone's wants/budgets will intersect in different places.
Until a vehicle can take me from A to B while I read a book or take a nap, it just isn't something I'd use anyway. For me the BIG reason for Level 1 was (In order of importance):So, I just watched a video saying that after the 3-month trial period, you have to pay for the hands-free assisted driving?????? I'm hoping it's like my Raptor key fob. That sucker works from 1/4 mile away. I agree about the subscriptions. Funny enough, I just cancelled a car wash plan that was attached to another vehicle I sold last August. They would have happily collected that $20 a month for perpetuity.I posted some info with others in a thread last night - https://www.ram-rho.com/threads/how-to-disable-drivers-assist-on-new-rho.843/post-19659
looks like hands free driving assist is 3 years from date of purchase ... where as vehicle assist (remote lock / start / horn) from the phone app is only good for 3 months and then $14.99 a month.
not a huge fan of subscription services - I prolly have 60 subscriptions im paying for somewhere and dont even remember .... I like the phone app options - but my key fob might be all I need.
thanks for that reminder (on the car wash plan) .... no plans to add scratches and dents to the glossy RHO black shine !!! ... one thing i think Ford did get right .... when you remote start - the fob would flash green once the motor started (confirming it worked/reached) ... hadnt seen that on a RAM fob yet .... but not sure its worth the $15/month fee for the phone app either.I'm hoping it's like my Raptor key fob. Same.. I’ll get my own decals, got vossen wheels picked out that come out cheaper than beadlocks and having them install power running boards covered by warranty once the truck is in by the dealer.I have an aversion to buying any vehicle that isn't "loaded", but that's just me. I didn't get the decals, the side steps or the beadlock wheels because I have my own plans for those things. However, with the deep discount from MD and other dealers, the Level 1 package was even more of a no brainer IMO. I am an admitted tech/gadget lover, so take that for what it's worth.
1000% worth it!So, I just watched a video saying that after the 3-month trial period, you have to pay for the hands-free assisted driving?????? Is the Level 1 package worth it? What is everyone's thoughts?
Three years is fine. I feel better. And my fob is good enough for me as well. For sure.I posted some info with others in a thread last night - https://www.ram-rho.com/threads/how-to-disable-drivers-assist-on-new-rho.843/post-19659

Let us know. Thanks.I had two orders base and L1 and while ram made me wait almost 9 months I come to conclusion that I'm not making same mistake again and getting level 1 just for few options I want and not regret again.
I just got back in town and both my orders sitting at the dealer so will be nice just to compare them next to each other.
Why so many percent1000% worth it!
Just one extra 0, are numbers new to youWhy so many percent
I forgot about HUD and 360 being part of lvl 1,after having 360 cams in my wife’s tahoe it’s definitely a huge perk to any big vehicleWas definitely worth it to me, I really enjoy having the sunroof, and the 360 degree cameras. I would have rather not had the passenger screen, but heads up display is a must. For the 10k you get everything that you’ll need, not to mention resale value will be higher.
