Actual Recalls / Updates

Oof - I don’t like to hear that regarding the software update. I have mine scheduled for next Thursday, hoping this will resolve some of the minor annoyances I have… but I’ll cancel that appointment if it is causing real problems.
I'll post an update after Monday. Maybe that will provide more data for you to decide if you want to cancel or not. I'm hoping it is something simple, like they didn't put a cable or hose on correctly.

I had 3 updates when I took her in on 12/1..
The only issue I had was it reverted to the factory settings in Italian...Had to reset everything the way I had it which wasn't a big deal....But they didn't fix the issues that I initially brought it in for!!

Yes please keep us up to date on those lean/rich air-fuel ratios. That of course is the cause of the hi rev and low rev drop.

Just got my postcard in the mail for the PCV valve replacement even though on the website my VIN was not part of the recall

OK have my truck back..

Cluster restarting - FIXED by reflashing under recall!! finally.. this was my main concern that drived me crazy
Engine idle issues - haven't been able to check, but they replaced BOTH of my batteries and found bad 150amp fuse, and said fixed
PCV valve - replaced under recall
Driveshaft - feels way better now, not sure what they did, but it's definitely smoother (documents don't say any work being done... )
FOB Proximity - even though there was recall for that I don't see it in documents and seems like it works as bad as it did ://

they also performed BCM software update as it was outdated..

not sure if it's related, but the gas pedal is now super sensitive, I would say amost as in sport mode!!! its no longer dead like it was.. I kinda regret buying the Roar pedal now as I probably never install it

I'm not sure the dealership really looked into all of my issues.. But they definitely wanted to charge me for tire rotation even though they didn't do it (and I declined it when dropping car off). I have one more paid oil change on my account there but might try different dealer as this is like the Mavis level :poop:)

PS: my RAM app also started to work again, showing trips etc :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: not sure how that could be related, does it get data from cluster? lol

Engine idle still fluctuates the same after PCV valve recall and battery / fuse replacement, so basically just the cluster issue was solved

Wow! Someone within the company knows why this is happening.

Thanks for the info. I'm getting the PCV Valve repair tomorrow. Maybe I'll ask about the driveshaft clunk too.
What is the drive shaft clunk recall you speak of for exactly?
I launched mine for the first time the other day after 4500mi on the odometer and heard a clunk, but I think because I did it wrong, I set the launch to 3500 rpm but only did 75% throttle pre launch let it build to 3500 released break then went the next 25% a second after break release…

And then the next day i started hearing a very faint knocking noise it didn’t feel like engine or tranny, so I took it in explained I launched it for the first time started hearing a faint knocking/ticking noise, they scheduled me an appointment for next week and sent me on my way …. I’m then driving it to work then to errands all day still very faint most people wouldn’t notice it, next day on my way home from work it got gradually louder 10 miles to home, last mile from home started knocking like I felt something had fallen loose, a new something had disconnected, called tow truck had it towed to dealership, But before the tow truck got there I looked under neath it, and found what looks like a snapped axel (pictured). My guess is it got cracked on the launch and then fully snapped 24 hours later. Y’all seen or heard of anything like this happening to anyone else? Also can anyone comment on the wrong method I used on the first launch? (in my head I was thinking it would twist less steel going the last 25% after break release instead of throttle pinned from the get go) , but pretty sure it made it worse because the computers were expecting me to have already had full throttle down so it was preparing for all the next upcoming sequence of events but then I roll on the last 25 unexpectedly freaked it out torqued the hell out of the tranny engine area causing a jarring launch, and snapped the axel, But was the lnitial knock sound I heard from the knock y’all are speaking of? Or me doing it wrong?

I swear you have some of the worst luck with your truck…

haha at least someone spotted that.. now I'll have to convince the case managers :D

btw truck brakes normally, this thing just popped on the screen when I started it but nothing else since.. these glitches are the most annoying

For those who have had the recall on the pcv, how long did the dealership take to do it? In my eyes seems like a 30 minute job. Service manager said I can just hang out at the dealership and should take 1-2 hours and if it goes over someone can pick me up or they may be able to give me a ride home. In the past it has taken them 1-2 days to get to my truck depending how backed up they are so wanted to check.

^^^^^^ Me too , me too!!! I have mine scheduled for this as well on 1/16 . Was wondering the same thing.

Bro, mine is also on 1/16..........WTF. LOL! I don't work Fridays so i figured a good day to monkey with dealership stuff. You wouldn't happen to also be going to the local dealership in Gallatin valley?! :ROFLMAO:
