Air filter

How often do you change your air filter and what do they cost? And if I end up buying a used one I think it’s looking that way I would want to change oil air filters and differential fluid . What signs should I look for to see if the truck was “ as they. Say……ridden hard and put away wet”?

Engine filter is good for like 25k-30k miles. It should be dry and fairly clean. I have 16k miles and mine is clean. Almost new looking.
