Anyone able to find a backstep for the 2025 Rho? Mine did not come with rear back step that you kick down and up.

Any suggestions as to which one fits and where I can find one?

THANKS

Probably the one thing I miss from the GMC was the multi pro tailgate. This little step is a deathtrap. I stepped on it just wrong and it folded back up on me.
I feel like I will miss my multi-pro tailgate too. I thought it was going to be gimmicky when I got it, but I find it quite useful in various configurations. I'll definitely miss it, but I managed before, guess I'll have to "struggle" without it. ;)

LMAO that exact thing happened to me and I took a chin full of plastic, which was better than the pavement hug I'd have most certainly received.

The trick is to use it ONLY as a step up into bed. If you try to stand on it for any other purpose it definitely collapses and in a way that human body doesn't. It's funny that it'll collapse if you are standing on it but I'm the only one in my family that can get it to return back under truck (on purpose).

What's funny is the first time I used it, it folded up on me and almost murdered me. But then after I got it back down and when I wanted to close it I had to kick it from 57 different angles to figure out how it wanted to be folded back up.

:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: Exact same thing here...exact. I'm crying I'm laughing so hard. Glad I'm not alone. New to RAM so just assumed I'm a dumbass and was missing something. A lock button on the step would have been a nifty idea, like a safety on a gun. Push in and not die, push out and step can go bye bye.

I can't believe it folds up while you have weight on it! Despite knowing this, I'm sure to have it dump me anyways. At least you guys had an excuse!

I had my wife record me trying to simulate what happens and of course it wouldn't do it. Next day loading kids bikes and it happened to her. She weighs whatever the right answer to that question is, that also indicates not much ;)

So does it try to fold back in while you’re actually on it from the ear or side of the truck? I’m trying to understand how this is happening. If it’s not stable I will fab a lock for it when I receive my truck soon.

That is correct.

If you approach from rear and one step on then next one up its fine, the weight has to be pulling down in that exact way through. Stand on side or on too long and weight shifts and it'll send you on your way like a horse that was tasked with a 400 lb guy.

After reading the discussion above I’d rather jump into the bed using the back bumper instead of stepping onto this backstep

Definitely the best tailgate out minus the horrible speakers they put in

My denim doesn't stretch enough for that to be viable but shorts and stretchy pants it is easy peasy. Your yoga mileage may vary :ROFLMAO:
