Billet silver paint

This is really sad. We own a 80k truck and because you can't trust pretty much anybody now a days to do their jobs correctly or in our case perfectly, we're trying to figure out how to camouflage the mistakes.

Yup! But good luck finding that anywhere.

Anyone addressed this with the manufacturer? I noticed this on mine today after detailing it. It’s very noticeable on the driver’s side…front door and side of bed. Remember, your carfax report may show any work done on your vehicle. I’m very disappointed to see this.

Welcome to the world of shitty billet silver paint! I just dumped mine and got a white one. The folks at Stellantis are clueless and my many talks with them got me nowhere. I worked with the dealer and got it squared away. Still has flaws in the paint but no metallic so this issue is gone now at least.

It will likely show on a vehicle history report and may have the diminished value impact. I may notify the manufacturer as it may help with having them to TSB this common issue in the future.

I always look over what I am spending money on before they get my money. Anything I find after I take it home is just part of the trucks character. 99.5% of the people looking at your silver truck will just see a nice truck.
