Bulletpoint mount

Well tried stuffing some of the foam under the Rubi grid that came in the box and unfortunately it didn’t take care of the vibrating unfortunately. Guess it’s time to look for another solution.
You might could try something like the sound deadening material they apply to the outer doors. That stuff is really helpful in minimizing rattles/movements.

Those who have used the bulletpoint mount, specifically the MagSafe phone mount, does your phone jiggle ever so slightly while driving? The mount feels rock solid and everything is super tight but my phone almost constantly jiggles ever so slightly which drives me nuts anytime I try to look at my phone. Just wondering if this is normal or not as I wasn’t expecting this.
Mine moved too. I attached one of those pads you stick under chair legs to avoid scratching the floor. I put the sticky side up (so it is attached to the bulletpoint arm). Problem solved.

Where did you attach it?

THanks

I took a picture so you can see how I did it. It just rests on the dash. It might be a little hoky but it works.

Just a reminder, I put the sticky side up. I didn't want to add anything with adhesive to my dash.

i see now what you did, i am only running the single stubby arm. I cant imagine the vibration with multiple arms.

I use the Rokform magnetic charger for my phone. It attaches with 3M double-stick tape. I have been using Rokform stuff for almost 15 years now. I have zero complaints.

Starts thinking about 3D printer for options 💡
Im trying to think of a solution but i think its just inherent in the 2 screw mounting with a large arm that it has some vibration to it. Plus all the stacking of components. Everything is made well, laser cut steel, machined balls and components. Just a huge lever resting on two tiny sheet metal screws that are in line with eachother so asking for vibration. Only thing i can think is to add more screws for it to mount to which is difficult as the bottom only has 2 tabs.

Originally, I just had the long arm but I wanted my phone to sit lower and not block the vent. It seemed like the shaking got worse when I added the stubby. Maybe Irongoats will come up with a better, more sleek, solution with his 3D printer. I could trim the pad to make it have a cleaner look but for now I'm satisfied with my quick fix.

It's quicker to do things on the phone plus its mounted right where i want it. . The big screen is a pain to find music on spotify, enter locations into maps, respond to messages, make calls and so on. I also like to take videos with my phone when we are in cool places or offroad and like it at the ready. Bonus points you can take selfie videos with your phone when catching air or launching. Phone next to big screen is what i like.

Just need it to stop vibrating. I think its just the nature of the design. two little screws with zero dampening then attach a huge arm (lever) and attach super heavy phone, there will be vibration.
I have have had it a few months. I had to get used to it but there is minor vibration. I’m not sure there’s much to do about it. It’s a solid system with a heavy phone held to the arm. It doesn’t really bother me. Maybe some of yours are vibrating more than mine is.

Its nothing serious whatsover, like a slight shake. Like we both said, probably inherent with the design! I like the phone mount alot!
