Can someone help me with an update?

I agreed on 79745 out the door. They called back and said 81000 now as a “courtesy”. Do i bend over and take it or what ?
If you don't need it now, I'd order through MD and walk from that nonsense. I'm 100% about the principal and will inconvenience myself to the extreme but wouldn't advocate for anyone else to be so rigid.

If you need it now, tell them 80,250....as a courtesy ;)

Came back and said 79545. Basically have to eat my 2k in rebates

If you order from MD you would have to pay shipping or fly in to pick up your truck. If you order from Glover, you'll get courtesy delivery to dealership of your choice. Discounts are the same. If i was starting over, I'd go with Glover. I am 9 months in with MD and don't have a truck.

So what you're saying is, you're starting over. Sucks man, I hope the next one flies through for you.

Did they accept your counter?

@SATX - sorry to hear. I haven't done business with Glover, but after concluding my MD paperwork I can say it is HANDS DOWN the best dealership experience I've had by a mile. Even if all things were equal or MD was slightly higher, I'll pay for excellent service EVERYTIME. Plus an excuse to spend a day living it up in New Orleans is never a bad thing :ROFLMAO:

MD is awesome. I've bought three trucks from MD sight unseen. Two were perfect. The third .... as posted in other threads - had rust pits throughout the bed. Still fighting with Ram about that. Their discount was worth the risk. BUT now there is a dealer doing the same discounts and offering courtesy shipping (comes from Ram to the dealer of your choice so you get eyes on the truck before you tske possession), to me it's a no brainer.

So, the dealer of your choice does the PDI and completes the paperwork then or it ships to Glover for PDI and completion of paperwork?

Why that matters: If Glover transports to dealer of your choice after PDI and completion of paperwork (which would be shocking if not the case) then the moment you've completed the paperwork the truck is now yours. Whether or not you like the condition upon arrival at "dealer of your choice" matters not a bit, since it would still be your truck. If you decline to take it the "dealer of choice" would like charge storage fee's until you do (this can and definitely does happen).

I'm not trying to throw shade, I'm genuinely curious because I don't see how this is any benefit other than the free transport. For reference, the reason I opted to fly out and drive my ride back is because I didn't want to risk my truck arriving as convertible and having to deal with transport insurance company to indemnify me.

Ram transports it. It's shipped by Ram from SHAP to the dealship you pick. Does not even go to Glover. Did it with my Demon. Paperwork done remotely.

Very interesting and good to know. I'm not sure how that works out if someone got declined for financing or just passed though. Being a fly on the wall of the dealerships dealing with that would probably make for bleeping good time though :ROFLMAO:

You may want to check out one of the newer dealers discussed on the Forum, Glover in Tulsa. They will discount of 9-10k off - plus incentives you qualify for AND they will do a courtesy delivery to a dealership of your choice. There is a thread with the GMs contact info. Official Forum dealers / vendors are also a good choice.
That courtesy delivery is a nice perk. Some of the other dealers here on the forum would get more sales if they did that, one of the main reasons I hear people saying they went with a local dealer instead of 'Dealer A' out of state is that they don't want the hassle of the shipping.

In my case, the paperwork was from the dealship I ordered from. They FedExed it to me. I had to FedEx it back to the dealer. The dealership where the truck was delivered, held the car until the next day when the dealership I ordered from confirmed receipt of the executed paperwork. That was 2018 - things probably have changed.

What type of deal did they give you in Romeo? I’m in Oxford and looking to order one. I bought my last truck from their dealer in Lapeer and they gave me a real good deal. Thanks
I am in Oxford too. Basically just the standard rebates offered by Ram. If you have a relationship in Lapeer I hear they are good over there see what you can get. I ordered in August and dealer let me know RHO was exempted from employee discount like TRX. Did not want to deal with hassle of wait, shipping and title etc from out of State since the truck was built up the road. Hindsight likely could have given it a little more thought for larger discount.
